My thought for today revolves around the carrying of the "spark" of freedom in one's heart and soul. I for one still believe that deep within the genetic makeup of any true American there is the potential for the spark of freedom. It is true for many that this genetic trait has become dormant but I still believe that for most it is still there despite the efforts of the nanny state to breed it out of the general public. Like anything else Liberty and Freedom not used and exercised will sooner or later atrophy, wither away to nothing and cease to exist. I have made a commitment to exercise more both physically and mentally and to spend at least some time daily spreading the spark of Freedom with family, friends and all those I come in contact with locally. I still believe the glowing ember is deep within most Americans and with just a little tinder and a puff or two of air the ember can become another spark and that spark can become a flame... "It does not take a majority to prevail... but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men" Samuel Adams.

Although it may be lost on the current generation, I believe the "spark" can be rekindled in older Americans... what it will take to rekindle the love of freedom and liberty in the average citizen... I don't have a clue.

I have hope for many of the younger people I meet. Many know more about our history than I would have thought possible and there are more young Patriots in the wings than I ever believed. By being visible they seem to find you and acknowledge the belief in Freedom.

I have hope for many of the younger people I meet. Many know more about our history than I would have thought possible and there are more young Patriots in the wings than I ever believed. By being visible they seem to find you and acknowledge the belief in Freedom. This is very true. They also still volunteer for military service, because they still believe in Freedom and Liberty.
