I find myself completely enraged over the rapid decline in liberty, status, and a completely blatantly corrupt federal gov't. I am so angry that I am having trouble carrying on with my normal work activities. I am distracted to the point of being near ineffective as an employee. I guess it doesn't help that I am surrounded in a very small area by obamabots. I even completely exploded at one of my co-workers last week when I brought up an article by Steve McCullough @ www.conservativeoutpost.com/will_never_happen_americaand all the idiot could say was "so what?" I told him he was obviously too stupid to continue breathing and to GTFO of my AO. I was LIVID. I am losing my ability to function "normally" at work, my mind's gears are getting stripped by all of the junk being thrown our way in DC. Laws written to empower an overbearing wasteful socialist government at the expense of folks who can ill afford it and only want to live peacefully without undue interference. Bills passed into law without being read. Pork (legalized bribery of the highest order) being accepted as the normal way of doing business. THIS IS HORSES41t. What has happened to our once proud democracy, the beacon of the free world? It is shameful to me. I like to think it has only recently gotten this bad or is it that my eyes weren't open wide enough in years past? My inability to separate my career and idea of liberty is unraveling me, and will cost me everything if this continues. Maybe a little away from work for a week or so will help, maybe it will only delay my inevitable departure. I am training, prepping, and doing all I can to be ready and will bide my time until called up to return the republic to it's rightful state. Other than that, I feel helpless and am not built to withstand this kind of abuse. I'm either losing my mind or am so aware of what is going on that it's painful. Is it just me, or is the building crisis effecting others as well in their professional lives?

You are not alone brother, while the state of our country effects all those that are awake to what is going on in different ways, both personal and professional, look around you here and realize that you are not alone, each of us in our own way has changed the way we live and look at the world.

We are with you in this. It makes me sick to my stomach. I cant imagine why people have not come unglued and taken to the streets I cant even get a good nights sleep anymore, I pray for our country everyday and bide my time until our numbers are up and we can revolt. Actively recruit Brother send everyone you know with your mindset here. My own stepdaughter is an Obamaholic, I have found myself occaisionally telling her to shut up. He's turning us on one another brother against brother, the past repeating itself. Makes me sick!!!

Hey Brother,
You are experiencing the same anxieties and anger the French Underground, Norway's Freedom Fighters and Polish Underground went through when Nazi Germany invaded. I found that working with my spouse, father and team members here in the MMP to focus on Prep, work through your mind daily on scenarios. "What would I do".
We also practice Dry MOUT and entry and movement
When not a work, prep, prep, prep, practice, practice...sweat upon the brow controls the anxiety. You gain control of your surroundings...that's all you can do at this point.
I understand, its like a Jekyll and Hyde life...its tough, as I stated above, you have to adopt a mask of stability hiding the true nature of who you are and your anger...Teach yourself to control it...
Anger is your worst enemy brother, both in peace and conflict...it prohibits you from thinking clearly...
PM me if you would like and I can give you some simple techniques to help to control and channel that work.

Mentally, you have to step back and view the entire situation this country is in from a standpoint of "What am I doing to help reverse/stop all of this?"
Your anger and angst should be channeled into intelligently dis-secting the issues and coming up with brief, concise, telling points which you immediately send to the government official involved, be it the president himself, your Senators or your Representative.
If you don't do everything you possibly can to let them know that you're watching their every move, that you'll vote next time guided by their every action and that you'll be sharing what you learn with everyone you know through every venue available to you - then it's no wonder you're upset.
Direct the anger to intelligent response to the problem, workout to burn off the frustration and by all means - if you go on vacation for a week leave the laptop and the cellphone at your house - get some REAL perspective without the "static" of everyday life!
Chill, brother - we've got your back and we'll keep it under control while you're gone.
HTH Pete

I suspect that the non-infected masses (Watching Dawn of the Dead, it is so similar to life now) are feeling the same as you. I am in Africa and am preparing to launch as soon as the HSC declares me to be a terrorist (not just on paper), and other events. You have to maintain even under duress of terminally stupid people. You need to chill and remember that a calm demeaner is what you need to prevail when the SHTF just smile and when these mind numbed idiots finally wake up and smell the socialism or get tired of living on their knees they will come to you for direction. I feel that there is no end to these crimes these idiots in DC are foisting on the country and they will prosper for a while but I have faith that there are enough patriots left in the country to return it to the way it is relegated to be.

Lighteye, I went through the same stuff about a year and half ago, I almost threw in the towel, the country was falling apart and no one else seemed to see what was happening... then the Financial escapades capped with an Obama win.
I took a couple of weeks off from work, went out to a friends farm and spent some time thinking about what else I could possibly do, I realized that I could only do what I can... nothing more, I re-charged and collected my thoughts.
As soon as I returned, I searched for like minded people and groups, to my amazement there were more than I thought, as a matter of fact I was surrounded by them. I then REDOUBLED my efforts in fighting against what has happened to our country.
Remember you are not alone, but we have to pace ourselves, build, grow and train... but be ready to act at any time.

Lighteye - I talk to people all over the country and all of us recognize this situation for what it is.
With the great encouragment above and direction you know you are not alone. I really would echo the need to prepare, train, stock to be self reliant, study..
Body - mind - spirit - work on the three to keep yourself focused, tuned and ready to respond - but above all pray and as Tom says "Appeal to Heaven" because no matter how things develop from here we need to also rely on God.
As AngryConservative offers - if you want to call and talk sometime please send me a PM and we can...

Totally agree with the OP and the responses.
I have lost family, friends and strangers due to asking how they could be so freaking blind as to not see whats happening.
I have had to learn to swallow my tongue at work, being the one of very few non obamabots, when they get together and start slobbing on him, I want to vomit. I was so outspoken, I was told not to talk politics, listen to Rush or Hannity or conservatiove talk shows on radio. Yet its ok for them too???
Just bid your time, learn to relax and as mentioned perp, prep and train.
Hang in there bro, know your not alone and our time will come to make our stand.

I would just like to say, after reading the above posts, how very proud I am to be involved with people like all of you. I too feel like you, sometimes getting sick to my stomach trying to wake people up to the fact that their nation could very possibly go extinct....even within the next year. But take heart my friends, and know that the United States of America did not become the envy of the world in just over 200 years by having nothing but brain dead idiots as it's citizenry!
People are waking up at an amazing speed. The worse things get, the faster they wake up. Thousands if not tens of thousands every day! There is still a chance that we can turn this whole thing around without a single drop of blood being spilled. We killed each other by the hundreds of thousands once before. I hope we learned a lesson from it if nothing else. But, if the unthinkable, but very possible should happen...we will rise to the occasion and stand together by the millions.

I have gotten where I don't talk politics around them. When you point out how none of his positions are workable in the real world, they get mad and start the name calling. For peace in the family, I only talk politics with the ones able to think for themselves. I still prep for the others needing help and a place to go when things go bad. Like others have said, recruit, train, and prep, but don't do anything stupid. Make them make the first move.

My therapy is heavy metal music. I find songs of a patriotic vein and jam em loud. I have even started listening to country. Quite a few patriotic country songs. Some of my favorites are Iced Earth's : Declaration Day; Queensryche : Revolution Calling; Hank Jr's : Country Boys Can Survive; Ministry's : Breath (not so much patriotic as it is a societys screwed type song). Tons more. But as a guitarist, I find solice and therapy in music. LOUD and HEAVY.

I can not agree more with most of what has already been said. I have times that I feel like I am in the Matrix and only one of the few that woken up and almost feel that I will be hunted down by those keepers of the Matrix. The truth is there are more waking up every day and freeing themsleves from the Matrix false reality. If we can all hang on until the point where enough have become alive and are willing to say, "We have had enough and we will take no more. We want to be free." The there is a chance to turn this country around and regain our rightfull politcal process as the founders meant it to be. As we work towards that end we all need to pray for the best and prepare for the worst.

There is always chances, however all of us must accept given history, we are well past the point of a chance being the reality. I am not being negative but logical

Thanks for the thoughts, folks. I am tested daily and I guess my BS meter is pretty sensitive. The obamabots make me want to send 19" LCD monitors flying, but I have gotten to the point where I just put in my ipod earplugs, crank up "Symphony of Destruction" or something else empowering, and get my work done there.
I'll make it, it's just going to be a tough row to hoe for awhile.

Lighteye: let me put in my 2 Cu pplated discs worth. First, recapping good advise already on the thread. 1. sweat on the brow reduces anxiety 2. keep a calm demeanor 3. you are not alone 4. only talk with thinkers 5. we are in The Matrix I know exactly what you are feeling brother, which is why this group of patriots who have common beliefs has been assembled. Without getting into the big picture, suffice it to say there are sheep, sheep dogs and wolves. We are the sheep dogs. Alert and clear thinking. We must not let the wolves succeed in distracting us, mentally, from the task at hand. Remember Orson Wells' comment: peoples sleep peacefully at night because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf. As others have volunteered, send me a pm any time. Start a blog to vent. Get it off your chest. I did. Don't know if anyone reads it, but it makes me feel better and allows me to clarrify my thoughts.
Semper Fidelis (always faithful).

That's like telling a pissed off Marine to holding his weapon with one hand and his gun with the other and smiling. Restraint until someone tells you or lets you know when its time not to be nice. YELL AT ME if it helps! It can be done brother usmcvet, ain't that correct?
