THis comes around every few months. It does however need to be seen in case it was missed before by someone. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- True story and most people will never know it.
Here's an interesting side bar.
After the Japanese decimated our fleet in Pearl Harbor Dec 7, 1941,
They could have sent their troop ships and carriers directly to California
To finish what they started.
The prediction from our Chief of Staff was we would not be able to stop a
Massive invasion until they reached the Mississippi River .
Remember, we had a 2 million man army and war ships....
All fighting the Germans.
So, why did they not invade?
After the war, the remaining Japanese generals and admirals were asked that question.
Their answer....
They know that almost every home had guns and the Americans knew how to use them..
The world's largest army.... America 's hunters!
I had never thought about this....
A blogger added up the deer license sales in just a handful of states and
Arrived at a striking conclusion:
There were over 600,000 hunters this season in the state of Wisconsin ..
Allow me to restate that number.
Over the last several months, Wisconsin 's hunters became the eighth
Largest army in the world.
More men under arms than in Iran ..
More than in France and Germany combined.
These men deployed to the woods of a single American state to hunt
With firearms, and no one was killed.
That number pales in comparison to the 750,000 who hunted the woods of
Pennsylvania and Michigan 's 700,000 hunters All of whom have now returned home.
Toss in a quarter million hunters in West Virginia and it literally
Establishes the fact that the hunters of those four states alone
Would comprise the largest army in the world.
The point?
America will forever be safe from foreign invasion with that kind of home-grown firepower.
Hunting -- it's not just a way to fill the freezer. It's a matter of national security.
That's why all enemies, foreign and domestic, want to see us disarmed.
Food for thought when next we consider gun control.

I lived in MI and covered WI as part of my sales territory so I understand your point. On the other hand if we hand the country over from within then we will either see a second revolution or a second "civil" war...

If you wear your 2A on your shirt pocket it will soon offend some and be gone like the freedom to buy any type food you want. If you pack your 2A in your cache' with your guns who will care. I carry concealed every weekend at the market. I get 10 to 15 morons who complain that I am scaring them and that I should take off my gun for their safety and piece of mind. The last one called the cops when I told them to go shop elsewhere. The cops came, checked that my pistol was properly licensed for concealed carry, and told them the same thing. They went out calling me names and the cops advised that I get a new store or I could get one who sues me. I am ordering my new holster and will begin carrying open when it get here. I still keep a cache' where I can get more if I loose this one. I won't need a rifle because when the SHTF they will be lying about where the SWAT teams dropped them when they started running up on families that are ready for them. Till then I keep a cache' of food, water, ammo, weapons. Just in case.

Just wondering.... If you're carrying your weapon concealed, how does anyone know you have it? I was thinking the same thing, but these days since I carry open and concealed, I don't worry about exposing the weapon... In some states if your legally concealed weapon becomes exposed you have violated the law, also in some states, should the weapon "print" through your clothing, you have violated the concealed carry law... absolutely ridiculous. So it could be that or everyone just knows he carries.

In some states if your legally concealed weapon becomes exposed you have violated the law,
I asked a NC cop about this and he said that since open carry was legal here, there would be no violation if your CCW was exposed.

Same in GA. I think FL and believe it or not... Texas, it is a violation if your weapon becomes "exposed".

Yes, when my SF/Vietnam friend from Texas told me open carry was illegal in Texas, I about fell off the chair!

I am a firm believer in Constitutional Carry and for that reason only have not applied for my CCW. I do carry a copy of the Constitution and until the Republic is restored that is my carry permit. Once restored I will no longer need to carry it.

In Ohio it is not illegal to print either or open carry although the latter is likely to get you an inducing panic charge when someone calls the cops about a man with a gun. We too are working on Constitutional Carry here, but we have an uphill battle as even the republikrats in the statehouse think we should be happy to have concealed carry imagine that! We are still chipping away at parts of the CC law we don't like and having a tough time of that as well.
I don't think it is really going to matter much soon. I see a collapse coming and the only thing that will matter is how prepared one is to survive it.

Make sure you use the forum to get the word out, if some pressure is needed, although it might not have the impact of a state citizen petitioning their government, the politician will know eyes are on them at a national level. This goes for all states, get the word out if you think it will help your state 2A cause. don't cry wolf though... make sure it is targeted activism and will have an impact on what you are trying to achieve.

I grew up in NH and it was an open carry state. When I grew up I remember a gun rack in almost every pick up truck and they usually carried a fishing pole, a shot gun and a rifle of choice and that even included the high school parking lots. Most were not locked and nothing got stolen and nobody got shot. It was not unusual to see someone with a pistol in a holster walking down main street but it was not like most carried and no one worried about the few who did. I had a friend who was Police Chief in the town I lived and he kept telling me to fill out for a permit to carry concealed but I never did. At that time it was his discrestion to supply the permit based on his knowledge of the person. Times were so much simpler back in the Stone Age....
