FBI Chastised by Court for Lying About Existence of Surveillance Recordsby Jennifer Lynch, May 4th, 2011 An order last week from the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California has revealed the FBI lied to the court about the existence of records requested under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), taking the position that FOIA allows it to withhold information from the court whenever it thinks this is in the interest of national security. Using the strongest possible language, the court disagreed: “The Government cannot, under any circumstance, affirmatively mislead the Court.” www.eff.org/deeplinks/2011/05/fbi-chastised-court-lying-about-existence(fixed link)

I am shocked. The Federal Government exceeding and abusing it's power using National Security as an excuse.
Welcome to the real world, Mr. Justice.

I really hope stories like this circulate around the judicial community. Especially if the Gunwalker scandal starts showing up in courts.

"Holder is “either monumentally stupid, or he is telling a monumental lie.”
Yeah, I'll have to go with C, all of the above.

Love Chris Muir's DBD cartoon. Been following since 2003.
