I brought this up a couple of weeks ago when it first was proposed.
What makes this really scary is they would seize the high cap mags.
Not just ban them, but seize them.
That would mean going into peoples houses. That is sure to start a fire fight.
When they have dead gun thugs on their hands, it would give the excuse to try this Nation Wide then.
At that point it is all hands on deck and lock and load.
This could get out of hand real fast, if this is pushed through.

That's why I think it will go nowhere... it would be sure to kick off CWII.
Too many people are onto the government now, The militias have doubled, with heavy membership, citizens are armed with more weapons than ever and have stockpiled billions of round of ammunition, the citizens have set up many and varied forms of communications... The Govt knows this would end very badly for them.

I believe you are correct in your statements Don but also believe that the conclusion is flawed. I believe that it all comes down to that it doesn't matter that they know it will end badly. I am becoming convinced that the Real PTB do not care that it ends badly and in fact the worse the outcome the better for those who wish to be there to take control after the ultimate chaos happens and transform not only America but the entire world. There is no doubt that true evil exists and will do what it must to bring about anarchy and chaos. It is also true that in they end evil cannot and will not win out. Those who are best prepared will be best prepared to confront this evil when the time comes.

The public hearing went (still going actually) very well from our point of view. How much that will effect the actual voting remains to be seen. The senator that raised the bill decided to skip the public hearing, I haven't discovered why yet. Another absentee was Senator Welch but his aide sent an email around last night saying that he already knew he was opposing it and supporting the bill that reinforces the castle doctrine. The email encouraged people to go make their voices heard today.
I think this is going to be dead and hopefully we made our point and they listen to the fact that a LOT of people are ready and willing to stand up and be counted on these issues now. Now we just need to force them to keep justifying the other stupid gun laws in this state. It might not get them removed but it'll keep them too busy defending them to create new ones.

Bill Banning Large-Capacity Ammo Magazines Draws Heat At HearingGun Owners, Gun Makers And Sport Shooters Object To LimitsBy DANIELA ALTIMARI, altimari@courant.com The Hartford Courant, 12:00 a.m. EDT, March 24, 2011 Editor's Note: An earlier version of this story misreported the number of opponents at Wednesday's hearing. Hundreds of gun owners, firearms manufacturers and people who shoot for sport came to the Legislative Office Building in Hartford Wednesday to criticize a bill that would make it illegal to own large-capacity ammunition magazines — those capable of holding 10 rounds or more. Several people at a lengthy public hearing before the judiciary committee went on record in favor of the ban, including the mayors of the state's three largest cities, but critics vastly outnumbered supporters.... My Lord!!!....Not the dreaded and deadly "Assault Clips"!!!!! Run to the hills, the guns are killing people indiscriminately... I know, the new "gen x" guns just want to jump up, run out the door and kill someone... they are hard to control, but that's why we have cops and politicians, to help tame 'em. I decided to get with the times and make a 30 round clip for my M1 Garand, but the duct tape keeps getting caught in the action while trying to load 'em.
