"It will be of little avail to the people that the laws are made by men of their own choice, if the laws be so voluminous that they cannot be read, or so incoherent that they cannot be understood; if they be repealed or revised before they are promulgated, or undergo such incessant changes that no man who knows what the law is today can guess what it will be tomorrow."--Federalist No. 62 The Militia: Rattlesnakes & Copperheads "I have no doubt that should the domestic enemies of the Constitution make their final, bloody move, many will be terminally surprised by how many copperheads -- human, informed, intelligent copperheads -- will pursue them silently and remorselessly until they are dead and their malignant collectivist revolution against the Founders' Republic is consigned to the dustbin of historywww.namsouth.com/viewtopic.php?t=3461sipseystreetirregulars.blogspot.com/2010/01/rattlesnake-versus-copperhead.html

Excellent Article with many good points. ...In a civil war, King's men desert, or turn their units back upon the royal cause. Volunteers step forward from the most unlikely of places. All are motivated by a common thread -- the burning desire in many human hearts to be free. I say many, not all, because there are some folks who just prefer being slaves.
Yet there are many man and women out there who are preparing to resist. Some are riflemen, some are logistics officers, some are trainers, some are spies, and some are intelligence analysts. Many, many of these are veterans. This is what keeps the more intelligent of our domestic enemies up at night (few they may be) -- they realize that they don't know what they don't know. They don't know how thoroughly they are penetrated now, or will be in the future as people are mobilized by events, by folks who will resist their future grab for absolute power. They do not know how many potential Ned Broy's their own ranks contain......It is up to us to encourage this line of thinking in the oppressors' tiny brains. They think they can deal with the rattlesnakes. But there exists many more than one kind of snake in the woods. Can they deal with the copperheads they carry unnoticed in their pockets? The strategic uncertainty generated by that disturbing thought may yet prevent a civil war...

The main topic keeps resurfacing, and that being the tyrants aren't too worried about the in-your-face-militias since they know how many they are and where they are located to some extent, but I'm sure we pale in comparison to those many more who are silently preparing, and waiting to act in God's Good Time.

I was born and raised not far from the Space Center here in Fl... growing up here my dad was good friends with the orig 7 astronaughts and I met most of them - one of the stories they liked to tell was how NASA got rid of rattelsnakes onsite - because they were swarmed with them.. rumor was they would pick up all the strays, cats from the shelters all over the state and turn them loose - then everyonce in a while fire... then more cats..
true or not I have always understood that is how they think.. then I consider the immigration problem, our economy burning...
you know I bet there are plenty of rattlesnakes over there still..
none the less the example of the original SOL and the points made in the article of the OP are well taken, well made, and there are lots of different kinds of snakes...
as I say in an earlier post - "cause fear in the hearts of the royal governors"

I wish in my heart I could beleive that those in the establishment, who love liberty more than slavery, will respond to our ( the visiable militia) aide. I have yet to be convinced by writings, even of those I respect. If they only knew that there are those that need to be encouraged with that intel, then they would in some way reveal it. How will I know who to trust, the very one that comes to my aide may be accidently shot because I never knew him.
Just my thoughts
