I have tried many methods of helping others understand the intent of our Constitution.
The question we need to ask ourselves is this: Where do we start?
The education system in our country is so negligent in teaching actual US history that people have no foundation upon which to build their house of knowledge. We can teach principles all we want, but many times it falls on deaf ears due to a lack of understanding of basic principles of liberty.

I think a good place is with our own children, kids talk to others and share a lot, even the embarrassing things some times ;D . We write a paragraph from the Constitution each night and talk about what it means. This is my next step, you can purchase 100 pocket Constitutions for $30 here www.nccs.net/ and pass them out to people. Send some to school with your child to hand out to friends, maybe even meet with your childs teacher and donate enough for the entire class. Give one to those neighbors or coworkers that you know need to read it.

I think it best if we start at the beginning with the basics and give folks a place to go to read and learn in a supportive environment with patient and educated help to guide them and answer questions, hey, we should start a forum.....ROFLMAO Seriously, I think I will do a category for reference and have it broke down in boards pertaining to the Constitution, The Bill of Rights, The Federalist Papers, etc. No better place to start than the beginning.

The Federalist Papers are some of the best reference materials available. There's nothing like hearing the founding fathers themselves expound upon their reasoning when writing the Constitution and its amendments.

I 100% agree that you have to start with your own kids, and whatever youth you can. Being only 23 I still remember sitting in U.S. history class and feeling like an a$$hole for being American. I swear the text books were written to make you feel guilty. They didn't teach us the reasoning and the depth of all the important papers that are the frame work of this nation. It's twisted, almost anti-patriotic.

Are you afraid of offending them - they are anti patriots - and the goal is the de-construction of America - just watch as the new court jester tours europe... bowing and scraping and apologizing becuase young men and women of America have had to die to protect the sorry ass Saudi's and europeans who sit and wring thier hands and hold thier heads... that is not my America

Sorry, the sarcasm in my last statment didn't shine through. It made me sick to my stomach the way we've been representing the U.S. in Europe. I actually would rather watch reality T.V., then see our nations mascots play nice with the neighbors.
