Good to have y'all here. Info below.I was with Nick when he got his assignment (and promotion) to Colonel. He told me then, just months before his death that "he was worried about things to come". In other words, he had a premonition. Thanks. It was fascinating reading about it. I should get Rowe's book. I remember about him being assassinated. Too bad he had to go that way. Reminds me of this. My Friend, NAGO And Drew Dix, CMOH Winner www.namsouth.com/viewtopic.php?t=26One of his warrior's, Bao, went into the hills to continue fighting the Communists after the end. Years later, the Communists told Bao's sister that if he and his men turned themselves in, then they would grant them amnesty. Unfortunately, he believed them, and when he came to Chau Doc to surrender, they immediately took him to the marketplace and promptly executed him. Drew Dix ends his book with the follow words. "It was a humiliating way for a warrior to go and I often think of him!" I cannot...... on this post .......phase "Charlie", along with Nick Rowe en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_N._RoweIt IS the best course in the world, and......were the test dummies for the first two courses.

Congrats to the graduates. I'm assuming this is AF SERE....were they future instructors? I know that shit is hard!
I've been through the survival school for aircrew. Not an easy time, but I'm so glad I went through it. I learned so much out there, not just skills, but I learned what I was really made of. I found my new physical and mental limits. I know I can survive anything they can throw at me!
