news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090425/ap_on_re_us/us_alabama_police_shooting"Fred Davis of Headland Alabama was out shooting his shotgun on his own property when a woman in a car broke down on the road near his house. She heard him shooting, freaked out and called 911. When the cops arrived they came on his property without a warrant & took Mr. Davis`s shotgun away from him. Fred then went inside his residence got his rifle, killed one cop & put another in intensive care. When the other cops showed up they just pretty much murdered him." Billy

Hmm... Should never have happened in the first place. Appears to be a rural area from the pictures in the article. Would be interesting to get a followup on this event. Certainly begs questions concerning law enforcements' trespassing on private property to confiscate the shotgun without a warrant. There was no victim of any crime, only a motorist freaking out over the sound of a shotgun report.

Hmm... Should never have happened. I agree, and we still need more information. I assume that where he lived wasn't zoned so you could shoot on your property, but that should not have made them take his gun. I see no reason for that. Now, if it was legal to shoot there, like my Dixieland, then there is a major problem. Just shows that people aren't going to take too much more, I believe.

I received a one word answer, although I'd have liked more, but.......
Billy:
Did you know the man who was killed?
"Yes."
