As I and others have said for years, George Bush is no conservative, not even close.
Proof?
"Uniting and Strengthening America by Providing Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism Act of 2001" The PATRIOT ACT. - signed into law by President George W. Bush on October 26, 2001.
Bush said if Congress got legislation to his desk, he would reauthorize the '94 'Assault Weapons' ban when it expired in '04.
Bush ponied up with McCain and a load of other oath breaking miscreants in 2007, to try and shove amnesty for illegals through.
The Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) bailout of U.S. Financial companies- signed into law by President George W. Bush on October 3, 2008.
On December 19, 2008, President George W. Bush gives a $17.4 billion bailout to Automobile Industries
“I’ve abandoned free-market principles to save the free-market system” - George W. Bush

By Rebecca Shabad CBS News October 19, 2017, 12:34 PM
Former President George W. Bush on Thursday issued a thinly veiled warning about the state of American democracy under the current president, arguing that "bigotry seems emboldened" and politics is "more vulnerable" to conspiracy theories.
Speaking at the George W. Bush Institute's "The Spirit of Liberty: At Home, in the World," a national forum in New York City, the former president warned that the trend in Western countries of moving away from democratic confidence and global engagement is seeping into American culture.
