Police Officer Who Shot Man In The Back Said She Feared He Had A GunBY Herschel Smith, 5 Nov 2015 Does anyone who isn’t a law enforcement officer believe that this defense – “There was no other reason for him to reach in his freaking jacket” … “What else was I supposed to think he’s reaching for?” – would or should be successful for himself if he shot a man in the back? As expected, the badge gives cops the right to shoot a prone man in the back and walk free... If it had been you doing the shooting, where do you think you would be right now? After Officer Is Found Not Guilty in Fatal Shooting of Unarmed Man Laying Face-Down in Snow, DA’s Office Released the Graphic VideoNov. 6, 2015 11:18am Jon Street Editor’s Note: Warning: Video and images may be disturbing. The Hummelstown Borough Police Department in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, has released new video of a police officer fatally shooting a man, hours after the police officer was cleared on all charges related to the deadly incident. Hummelstown police officer Lisa Mearkle was cleared of any wrongdoing in the death of 59-year-old David Kassick on Thursday. Mearkle was facing third-degree murder, voluntary manslaughter and involuntary manslaughter charges for her role in the fatal shooting of Kassik back in February, WGAL-TV reported. The video shows Kassik complies with the officer’s demands to lie face down on the ground with his hands visible as the officer continues to shoot him with a Taser and, moments later, fires two bullets into Kassik, killing him. www.theblaze.com/stories/2015/11/06/after-officer-is-found-not-guilty-in-fatal-shooting-of-unarmed-man-laying-face-down-in-snow-das-office-released-the-graphic-video/
