Tea Party Movement - No dilution

It's interesting the difference between what I saw at the Tea Party and the spin that's coming from the television.
The Tea Party I attended was made up of people who are furious at Washington. All of Washington. There was a tendency to single BO out because his spending is unprecedented.
BUT. And this is a big BUT. This spending did not originate with Obama. The transgressions on the Constitution did not originate with Obama. Those who attended were furious with both sides of the aisle. Their frustration was freely vented on both parties, all of congress, and all Presidents in modern history. (save Reagan maybe)
Some Republicans would like to hitch their star to the Tea Party movement and pretend the whole thing is their idea and they are the solution. Unless they've done a complete about-face, they are not the solution, they are part of the problem.
As far as I can tell, they haven't changed their ways. They are still willing to grow the Federal Government as much as their corrupt little hearts desire. So....
Be mindful of those who step in and try to grab the "tea party" spotlight. Consider carefully whether those who would do so are simply cashing in on free marketing or if they have honored the constitution, have worked diligently to reduce the size of the Fed Govt, and have respected the rights and responsibilities of the citizens.
I tend to lean hard "libertarian right", but I am absolutely disgusted with many of the Republicans now stepping forward to say "Yeah, me too! I'm mad as hell!"
Um, NO. Too late for you jack, you're part of the problem.
Keep in mind, this movement is NOT about Republicans vs. Democrats.
It's about Big Government vs. Small Government. Big Spending vs. Less Spending. High Taxes vs. Lower taxes. Citizens' rights vs. Government's rights. States rights vs. Fed's rights.
Keep your eye on the ball, don't let those who would corrupt and dilute it co-opt the movement, doing so would destroy our goals faster than all the negative press provided by DailyKos.
Power corrupts. The right and the left. They both need a lesson. One in humility, the other in resolve.
Keep up the fight!
