Rest of the article at : www.examiner.com/article/dhs-deploying-homeland-with-weapons-of-war?CID=examiner_alerts_article"The sighting of a Department of Homeland Security Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) Armored Personnel Carrier (APC) at a gas station near Ybor City, Fla. on Wednesday is raising questions, concerns and fears about what the federal government is foreseeing in terms of likely needs for such armed and armored transports. An additional big unknown at this time is what congressional oversight protections exist for if and when they are deployed in domestic situations. Compounded by the administration’s now “on the radar” push to further restrict civilian firearm ownership, the recent controversy over the potential use of drones over American soil to kill citizens without due process, and a longstanding and documented train of abuses tied to the militarization of law enforcement activities, those who keep an eye on such things are noticeably distressed. In the absence of once-pledged administration transparency and a vigorous and motivated watchdog press, civil libertarians are left with only speculation, and some are wondering if the predictable result, keeping activists on edge, is intentional."

Let me regress and suggest that everyone of us go to: training.fema.gov/is/crslist.asp?page=allDHS has two problems when they enter a strange area. 1. They are the outsider. 2. They don't know you. This is where if we have taken those courses and looked at the links in each course will have home court advantage. Drones won't work next door to their HQ. Artillery don't work near their offices. Getting fed only works if the are given the food since they don't have a clue where we get ours. I spent 27 years dealing with these facts all around this world as many of you have. We have the advantage unless we irritate our people and they change sides. These super bombproof vehicles were designed to keep the occupants safe when they hit a land mine. Wonder how they will do in a gap in the terrain and between the jaws of 3 foosh cannons?? Ahhhh the smell of Napalm in the Morning is great for the sinuses! ;D

Attach "barbed" caltrops to a heavy net with some "hog rings", get the netting into position and wala. Saw a show on a system awhile back that stopped a semi with netting entanglement around the wheels and drive train.

Shades of Mad Max! My favorite was a covered hole with a small tuft of brush over it and in the hole was a hook connected to a 50 foot logger chain. They also don't run well missing an axel. Speed minus axel = rollover. With all the sharp pints will take out all except the driver and he may lose his/her head.

Barb wire tangles can stop a tank.
When said tank is stopped, it is an easy target for fire, or even capture.
Tanks also do not do well on paved roads with oil and water.
I fear these armored cars, and APCs more than tanks.
They are much harder to sneak up on, and can fire in more than on direction, because of the troops inside them.
