Seems kinda defensive, the agency must be getting a little heat in light of recent "disclosures".
NSA chief defends agency against domestic spying charges
By Shaun Waterman, The Washington Times Monday, July 9, 2012
The head of the National Security Agency on Monday denied reports that NSA's new data center in Utah would collect and store data about Americans, including their e-mails and web-browsing habits.
"We don't store data on U.S. citizens," Gen. Alexander told an audience at the American Enterprise Institute. "That's baloney. ... That's ludicrous."

I would like to meet anyone left who actually feels that the governmnet does not collect and collate intel on every man woman and child in this nation and probably the world. If you have any misconception that you are not the prime target for the NSA I have some land in Florida you may want to see. They have to to justify those millions of dollars a day the spend on that collection. I lost that cherry before Vietnam.
