Berkeley Campus Police...yeah you heard it right... underlining mine. Berkeley Campus Police Get $200,000 Grant to Buy Armored CarPosted on June 29, 2012 at 9:50pm by Mytheos Holt Lt. Eric Tejada, a spokesman for UCPD, said the university plans to use the vehicle along with neighboring counties in dangerous situations that could involved heavy weapons.
Tejada said that although he does know of any incident in the university's 144-year history in which such a vehicle would have saved a life, the police department would have liked to deploy it in an incident last year when they mistakenly believed a man had an AK-47 assault riflewww.theblaze.com/stories/berkeley-campus-police-get-200000-grant-to-buy-armored-car/ Botched Paramilitary Police Raids: An Epidemic of "Isolated Incidents"www.cato.org/raidmap/

I wonder if these "Armoured Vehicles" are like the ones used in the Mid-east by the Military. If so they better get more cops. The ones made for the Military use "de-pleated Uranium" to reduce the weight and increase the stopping power of the armour. However when the rounds strikes the aluminium shell it gets holes and this radioactive dust leaks out. The same is true of some of the armoured Vests used by the Military. (Did you buy one by mistake?)

Looks like from the map that North Dakota, Wyoming and Montana are free of botched events.
