It's coming but with the manipulation of the numbers, when it hits most will be blindsided!
We must look at my Coast Guard motto
Sempar Paratus
Always Ready
Yep, it's coming.

I saw some figures on Fox Business last evening that in 2011 Medicare took in approximately half of what they paid out. It doesn't take a genious to realize that this is not sustainable and that there is a perfect strom brewing. Once the rain begins to fall it will be time to close the doors to the ark and suddenly millions of people will be caught on the wrong side of those doors.

Sadly far too many folks refuse to believe this or are willfully ignorant of the situation. A financial adviser that has a regular spot on our local talk station is STILL claiming that the economy is on the mend. I've challenged him before about 6 months ago about how could he see a bright future with the state of government debt. He backtracked a bit for a while, but again, now he is extolling the wondrous virtues of the market. I do understand that if he states the truth his business will tank and there is money to be made SHORT TERM in the market, but to be so disingenuous about our long term future in a public forum irritates me.

You cannot counteract a problem people refuse to admit exists so I donnot believe this is avoidable. Short term plans are useless at the rate they/we are piling up long term debt. Hang on for a rough ride...

Once the rain begins to fall it will be time to close the doors to the ark and suddenly millions of people will be caught on the wrong side of those doors. There was an article which states that 100% of the tax revenue went to Medicare, S.S. & a few other entitlements. The DHS & it's dept's & the military is being propped up with loans.
