I thought I read something like this a year ago or more. You did, a number of Airports "requested" to ditch the TSA, which was promptly denied by... wait for it... the TSA. Nothing like job security.

Obama explained it very well to these cities. If the TSA leaves there will be no cross state border flights from that airport. Dallas whined and the TSA are still poking and squeezing.

West Yellowstone Airport in Montana has already replaced its TSA screeners with private security. Bert Mooney Airport, also in Montana, is attempting to do the same.
