Sipsey Street Sends... Remain Calm! All is well! Gun owners vote with their wallets, despite John Horwitz's best efforts at reality denial. This notice is being sent to all customers who recently placed an order with www.budsgunshop.com and may not necessarily apply to your order.
If you are not already aware of what is going on in the firearms industry, there is no doubt you soon will be via the media. Our sales in the month of February were over FIVE TIMES what they were back in February 2009 following the last presidential election…and you may recall those were some pretty crazy times ! We did plan for 2012 to be another challenging election year….but we admittedly did not plan for this level of volume, and definitely not this early in the year !
Although your order may not have experienced a delay, we would like to apologize to anyone who has, or is currently, experiencing a delay in shipping. Our order volume unexpectedly skyrocketed in February, far beyond our capacity to process and ship. We immediately began the process of expanding our facilities, adding additional staff, and working extended hours…but those efforts are just now starting to pay off.
The good news is that we are starting to get back on top of things. We are currently shipping out more orders each day that what we are taking in, so it is now just a matter of clearing the backlog that was created in February. Since Monday we have been able to ship out 300 more guns than what we sold during that same time….so the backlog should be cleared shortly at this rate. We are shipping oldest orders first (first in – first out) so clearing this backlog will cause some newer orders to ship closer to the “7″ in our advertised “3 to 7 business days” terms. Many repeat customers were so use to us shipping in 3 days they started to get concerned when their order had not shipped in 5 days…even though we were well within our “3 to 7 business days” terms. Also, “business days” refers to Monday-Friday only, as neither UPS or USPS pick up packages at our warehouse on weekends.
We sincerely apologize if you experienced a delay and assure you we are continuing to do everything we possibly can to prevent future delays. We have also suspended all cancellation fees for any delayed orders. If you orderhas been delayed, and you prefer to cancel your order at this time….we will be glad to accommodate that request with absolutely no fees….we need more guns anyway !
We appreciate the business and commit to do a better job next time if given the opportunity.
Kind Regards,
Team Buds sipseystreetirregulars.blogspot.com/2012/03/remain-calm-all-is-well-gun-owners-vote.html

Thanks President Obama for arming Americans that understands the Declaration of Independence.
Thank you Mr. President for helping to open up people's eye's, hearts & minds of my fellow Americans.
By ignoring the Constitution you have helped spur the economy in the weapons & ammo industry & it didn't even require a bail out. The downside, it made G. Soros richer.
Come on people, exorcize your 2ND Amendment Rights. Peace of advice, don't allow them to collect dust... ;D

I visited two gun shops in my area today to drop off some III Percent Patriots books for distribution. In talking to the owners they said they cannot get guns and when they do the head out the door as fast as they came in. Seems alot of guns are delayed in delivery to them. Interesting thing mentioned by one of the owners concerned 223 ammo. He said the prices are really staring to spike and are creeping up weekly. He mentioned that one of his big suppliers said get it now because supplies will become scarce in the next six months. He said supplies of 223 are being sucked up overseas and manufacturers are having trouble filling orders.

This is the message that greets you this afternoon at Bud's Gun shop:
!!!! IMPORTANT NOTICE!!!!
An EXTREME increase in TRAFFIC to our website actually caused the site to shut down multiple times this past week. Even when the site goes down, we are able to process and ship existing orders normally
Please be patient as we are doing our best to deal with EXTRAORDINARY volume at this time !

Speaking of .223, for those of you using it, you might want to get a 5.56mm upper vs the .223
Why?
The 5.56mm is common throughout the Military and now Civilian Law Enforcement, and although the 5.56mm can be fired in the .223, it is not recommended due to high gas pressures, causing a myriad of problems, up to and including catastrophic failure of the weapon
But, the .223 ammo can be fired with no problem in a 5.56mm upper. You will have a slight decrease in performance due to OAL but, it is well within most accuracy needs. Another benefit is you will be able to use the Steel case ammo with fewer malfunctions, usually the dreaded "failure to extract".

Here's one that explains it a little better... .223 Remington vs. 5.56 NATO: What You Don’t Know Could Hurt You02/15/2011 Is firing a 5.56 NATO cartridge in your .223 Remington chambered AR15 dangerous? Or do Internet forum-ninjas and ammunition companies selling you commercial ammo instead of surplus overstate the dangers? Believe it or not, a real danger exists, and some gun owners who think they are doing the right thing may not be safe. www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=41770

Sold two of the III Percent patriot books while at one of the stores this afternoon for basically what I paid for them. From the reaction I saw I will probably need to order a dozen more.

I placed an order on Saturday with both Bud's and Davidson's Gallery sites. I got order confirmations from both on the day of order. Yesterday I got a shipment notification from Davidson's and today I received a tracking notification hat my purchase would be delivered today by 3:00PM. Late this afternoon I got a notification from Bud's that my order would ship in the next 3-7 days and I would be notified after it shipped. Looks to me like it is more about Bud's as Davidson's was able to take my order on a Saturday, ship on Monday and deliver on Tuesday and both were in stock items.

One of the largest on line dealers there is located in Prescott, AR. Their on line site is Gallery of Guns. Great site and you do a down payment only and they ship to a local gun dealer of your choice as long as they are registered with them. One of the largest selection I have seen and good prices. You can search by manufacturer, caliber, type and more. The one thing I like is you register your gun back with them on line after you receive it and if there is ever an issue you bring it back to a local dealer who will ship it back to them and you immediately get a new replacement shipped to you within 3 days of your shipping the gun back. I have purchased several through them in the past year as they are more than competitive with any price I could negotiate with a local dealer, Local dealers like it better than Bud's because they make more than the transfer fee. www.galleryofguns.com/

Gallery of Guns
Oh, I'm familiar with them as you can check prices from your nearest gun shop, for instance,

Yes and the company name is Davidson's. Bud's sometimes has a better price on a certain item but Davidson's has always delivered in 3 days or less on anything I ordered.

The Bushmaster DCM I used for many years will feed anything. Except for some of the super high end target ARs, Bushmasters are all pretty much set to "military standards", as they are a major supplier to Mil/LEO.

My S&W MP 15 will feed just about anything as well. A couple times I had a some steel case cheaper ammo hang up but usually it cycles those fine as well.
