There are no cases of the wasting disease in N.C., so this had nothing to do with safety, or the Deer population.
It had to do with power and control.

No Hefferman1. It had to do with a County Sheriff that was not willing to do his job. It has to do daily in North Carolina with a State Government that receives money from the Federal Government based upon how the adapt to AGenda21. The State claims ownership and control of ALL Natural Resources, navigable bodies of water, and natural forests. The claim that right under the protection of ALL of the People of the State. They have no one to oversee them. This is a local problem so only one Sheriff could interfere. His neighbors probably were happy because now they can get that ugly fence down. We don't know how to live in our own place without putting our nose into our neighbors piece of the pie. They can also come into your yard and declare the mole digging up your sidewalk an endanger species and charge you if you run him off.
