Ben Bernanke's Failure-The Looming Crisis And Why A Depression Seems Inevitable.posted Friday, September 23, 2011 at 5:29 a.m. The economy is a fraud. It has been setup in such a way that it is a self perpetuating parasite borrowing on itself. The government steps in and props it up just as it starts to fail with help from the private corporation known as The Fed. The economy is in worse shape that people realize right now but surprisingly the dollar is still rising. The dollar is still gaining value because people are buying dollars and treasuries as they sell stocks. The concern is when people start fleeing the dollar the real crisis will come and unfortunately we seem to be inching in that direction everyday. The current monetary policy is absolutely bad policy and the biggest problem is that the mindset is to continue to prop up the failures rather than allowing the failures to occur. If we could allow a natural failure we could restructure and while that may be painful and catastrophic at least it is still somewhat manageable. The last thing we want to see happen is an unmanageable failure... www.uniteandstate.com/column/148/ben+bernanke+s+failure+the+looming+crisis+and+why+a+depression+seems+inevitable/

" Politicians do not want to interfere with their re-elections and careers so they will continue to prop things up and kick the can down the road. We almost need a dictator in charge to make this kind of change and as Un-American as that is, our current system is just as bad. When politicians operate on pure career decisions the citizens suffer. This cannot last forever. There will eventually be a major collapse and lets just hope it is one we can get out of."
Good article and passed on. There is a collapse coming and it will be a big one for the very reasons mentioned. No one in charge on either side (two party system) will be willing to step up and say enough is enough and we need tough measures to end this and then turn it around. Yes it would be painful but unless we endure the pain the short term and attempt to do what is needed to turn this around then in the long term it will be devastating.
But then all of us who come here realize that so we just do what we can to prepare. Tomorrow I am off to work to meet a laser technician who will try to resolve an issue on one of my companies lasers. The off to a friends house with my wife to use his range and get some practice in. Then a cook out and a stop at Sam's on the way home to pick up some supplies....

I see no hope unless Ron Paul is elected, and I doubt seriously the neo-cons will allow it, which means Paul will run a third party, since he's already said he won't run for the house again. So unless, by some miracle, enough independents, conservatives and semi-liberals come together to vote for Paul, then we get Hussein again.

Although the Obamanation is absolutely crushing the demonrat party, it is also devastating the country while it happens People are starting to wake up at a good clip as I see it in my daily travels... but it may be a little too late. They see the waterfall coming now and they will start grasping at any branches they see, even if it has a Water Moccasin wrapped up in it. When the fear kicks in they will do anything for survival... its all about the odds... I will go over the waterfall or I may get bit and possibly survive. Most of the sheeple will vote on fear, getting us the worst possible choice. If we get the Obamanation again, the GOP AND Democrat party are probably toast... a third party may well rise, if there's anything left to govern.

Whether we get Hussein again or Hussein "light" the end game will be the same. If the latter then we just might have to play it out in overtime as the game is extended but the end result unchanged. As I have said before I am done with the two party, vote for the lessor of two evilors and now I will vote for the person who promises to uphold their oath of office and truly defend the Constitution and so far that means I vote for Ron Paul...

Ditto X2. They see the waterfall coming now and they will start grasping at any branches they see, even if it has a Water Moccasin wrapped up in it. Now, I like that!

Michael Let me explain this little problem here. When you and I went down to the County Board of Elections and "registered" we were asked to name a party affiliation. The choices here were Republican, or Democrat, or Independent. When we did this we told the State that the party we selected will provide our possible representatives. This means that unless the party agrees with us our possible candidates will be chosen in Washington. Then when we arrive at the poll the names selected by Washington will be all that shows on the screen. Who selected them the same folks that gave us the likes of Obama, McCain, and my favorite King Bush the 1st and 2nd. Personally I sent a registered letter to the County Board and demanded that my name be removed from the Rolls.

Ron Let me explain this to you. Even though my vote may be a write in and mean nothing I will vote. I will not give them the pleasure of not hearing from me. The day I stop voting is the day we have exhausted the use of the ballot box and the jury box. Then and only then will I not vote because the only last step is the ammo box. We are not there. At least not yet...

I voted for myself for the past 4 years. When I can see someone with better qualifications, excepting money, I will vote again.
