Plot thickens... neighbors are now corroborating the wife's story that the LEO's assaulted the house without announcing they were police, now it appears a full blown coverup was set in motion after they gunned the guy down... SWAT entry questioned in Marine's deathPosted: May 13, 2011 9:34 PM ADT Updated: May 13, 2011 9:34 PM Reporter: Joel Waldman TUCSON, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) - A decorated Marine's family cannot believe their loved one, who served two tours of duty overseas, is gone; never expecting him to die here at home at the hands of law enforcement. A Pima County Sheriff's Department SWAT team shot and killed Jose Guerena eight days ago; it was executing a search warrant. Four days ago, in a news conference, a sheriff's deputy said the department makes it clear when SWAT is about to enter a home. Lt. Michael O'Connor says SWAT says it never wants to be mistaken for other people, "We had our large armored vehicle there with the markings on it. It also has lights and sirens. It was going. So we do everything we can to try to portray the image that we're law enforcement, we're not home invaders." But, Guerena's wife, Vanessa, who hid in the closet with her youngest son while 71 rounds were fired her husband's direction, said she heard nothing. At any point did you hear them yell, ‘police" or ‘SWAT'?" KGUN9 asked. "No, no!" answered Guerena. Read More: www.kgun9.com/story/14644269/swat-entry-questioned-in-marines-death#

Still no word on whether it was a "wrong house" raid.

Still no word on whether it was a "wrong house" raid. The raid was the right house, but the person they were looking for moved a year ago. Crappy police work and trigger happy thugs killed a good Marine.

This drummed up a thought. When I talk to active military about Honoring their Oath, it is received with a conscious open mind.
When I bring it up to LEO's I see a defensive posture as if I am threatening their authority in most instances (one's authority ceases once they don't up hold the Constitution).
I guess their authority is being questioned here.

Seems to me that this kind of thing is becoming more common or being reported more regularly. I don't like it much in either case.

I had seen a link stating over the last two weeks there's been 3 other suspicious veterans killed by LEO's. Can't find it, just got word via tex of the same. Contacted & hoping for a link.
Has anyone else heard of this?

Haven't seen a current trend, but although this is from Feb, I Wonder if these could be the incidents people are writing about. …they survive combat but cannot survive back homeBy Chaplain Kathie STAFF WRITER www.veteranstoday.com/2011/02/07/suicide-by-cop-or-combat/

This man is a HERO who died protecting his family from unknown and unannounced dangerous intruders. On the flip side, if the Police Commissioner himself entered a home unannounced and with no warning he is an unknown hostile and should be treated as such. Period. And furthermore, I'm lucky I don't live in Indiana...
I respect police officers a great deal and I hope that you guys remember the oath you swore to uphold. Never forget. Damn it what is this country coming to...
