SWAT team fired 71 shots in raidFernanda Echavarri Arizona Daily Star | Posted: Wednesday, May 11, 2011 12:00 am The Pima County Regional SWAT team fired 71 shots in seven seconds at a Tucson man they say pointed a gun at officers serving a search warrant at his home. Jose Guerena, 26, a former Marine who served in Iraq twice, was holding an AR-15 rifle when he was killed, but he never fired a shot, the Sheriff's Department said Monday after initially saying he had fired on officers during last week's raid. Vanessa Guerena says she heard noise outside their home about 9 a.m. Thursday and woke her husband who had just gone to bed after working a 12-hour shift at the Asarco Mine, she said. There were no sirens or shouts of "police," she said.azstarnet.com/news/local/crime/article_d7d979d4-f4fb-5603-af76-0bef206f8301.html

Sounds like there are serious unanswered questions. I won't be surprised if it comes out that that he was involved in a radical group. You know a Patriot group.
Remember LEO's were told that they should be aware of returning Veterans, citizens that believe in the Constitution & Ron Paul bumper stickers.
This maybe just a huge cluster f#ck, either way I am concerned a Veteran was gunned down by LE. I want the full story.

I would really like to know how this shakes out and the real facts, it looks like the judge is not releasing any of the evidence to cover the LEO's, that may not be the case, but it sure looks and smells fishy, and if it smells and looks like a fish, there is usually fish in the area.

How many more times will we allow bullshit like this to happen?
Our forefathers did not write anything into the Constitution which allowed for a police state.
Clocks ticking boys...you better be ready.

I read this and I am PO ed. The Marine never fired a shot and even put his weapon back on safe. A Marine would have taken his weapon off safe after he loaded it. The thugs in uniform let him bleed to death and would not allow anyone to give Guerena medical aid.
I just loaded my AR-10 with a clip of AP ammo and it will set by my bed side for just such an occurrence.

I'd rather die a free man especially if it's not anything I did wrong.
As hard as this is to swallow, it seems to me that we do not know all of the facts.
I wold like to know EXACTLY what they were there serving the warrant for and what that warrant was signed to look for in the home.

As I remember it was for three homes and drugs. Too add to the mix, the Marine and his family had just moved into the house a couple months prior to this. sarcasm Sterling detective work if it turns out they were looking for the previous occupants... /sarcasm
