This is the reply I received from my REPUBLIKRATIC senator about the UN-patriot act! Keep voting for the lesser of two evils folks and this is what we get!!!! Damn, my arms are getting tired from beating this drum!!!!! How much sense does it make to support someone whom only agrees with your beliefs 5-10% of the time, or ONLY on ONE issue!!!!!!!!! This is insane! Our republic is burning and everyone STILL wants to play the TWO party game!!!!! Are you kidding me???!!! If you continue to do what you have always done, you will get what you have always gotten!!! I won't bother to post the reply from my marxist demoncrap senator because his response was as expected, the SAME as the REPUBLIKRAT!! Thank you for contacting me regarding your concerns with the PATRIOT Act. It is good to hear from you. As a member of the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, this issue is particularly important to me. As you know, shortly after the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, Congress enacted the USA PATRIOT Act, which was designed to help prevent future terrorist attacks. I believe that America has a right to defend herself, and I have promoted and will continue to support policies and legislation to keep us safe from those who wish to destroy our nation. I also am committed to protecting privacy rights and the essential liberty we hold dear. Recently, the United States Senate and House of Representatives voted to temporarily extend three expiring provisions of the USA PATRIOT Act until May 27, 2011. The first provision allows investigators to seize tangible evidence such as books, records, documents, and computers that may have been used in the implementation of a terrorist attack. The second provision allows a judge to issue warrants for "roving" wiretaps. The third provision does not apply to American citizens. The "lone wolf" provision allows for surveillance of suspected terrorists acting alone who are not connected to foreign governments or terrorist organizations. While I understand your concerns, I believe the PATRIOT Act has played a vital role in ensuring our nation's continued safety, and has thwarted threats meant to harm Americans. We must achieve a balance between important privacy rights and giving law enforcement the appropriate counterterrorism and foreign intelligence surveillance tools to keep Americans safe. Thank you for taking the time to contact my office. For more information, I encourage you to visit my website at www.portman.senate.gov. Please keep in touch. Sincerely, Rob Portman U.S. Senator

My Congresswoman also sits on DHS committee, her response was the same.
She will not give me a response on the Governors Council, defends the Constitution Free Zone & defends the TSA.
Now sit down for this one, she's a conservative Repube.

That was a very nice letter. No where in there did they tell you to stick it. This act is the result of BOTH bands of elected felons working together. The reason is that every thing in the Patriot Act is found in the Presidential Executive orders since Jimmy Carter. If it gets passed it will take 546 honest people to change it. Where will we find that many honest people in Washington DC. Better to try and fry mayonaise in water.

I fired off an email last time it was voted on. In my haste I didn't realize that my congressman's yes vote was on certain provisions pertaining to surveillance of non-citizens in country. I let him know how I felt about the Pat Act.
