The link worked for me and I wished it hadn't. I get so infuriated when I read these types of stories. Whom exactly do these guys think they are? They were checking for ORV stickers yet they acted like they had apprehended a gang of mass murderers. WTF? I cannot say this surprises me as it seems there are more and more stories everyday about gross over-reactions and abuse of power by those in law enforcement. It's getting worse day by day folks.

Each and every Federal officer, and most Sheriffs Deputies carry a $1,000,000 Bond. If the couple can get every adult witness there to sign a sworn statement in front of a Notary Public then these two and those like them can be cured of their jobs. These are called Surety Bonds and they are there to provide protection for their County Government or Federal Agency. Once a claim has been made on these bonds for personal conduct like this the Officers will have a hard time working even in Physical Security fields. Though the family won't see much in the line of money after the Lawyers finish the knowledge that the Officers will not hurt anyone else. From the looks the Deputy will most likely flip on the Fed to try and keep his job.

Actions like that is why I carry a .45.
Again in Chief Bad Elk vs The United State, SCOTUS has ruled you have the right to resist unlawful arrest to the point of death. What that means is you can defend yourself to the point of killing the officer, to stop an unlawful arrest.
Giving into the thugs, will only make the problem worse.
The thin blue line, will not correct these government gun thugs, or protect the citizens. They instead protect each other at the expense of the citizens rights. This has to end.
It is time we start protecting ourselves, when government thugs abuse the power vested in them.
