Police admit the MAV, if flown low enough, has the ability to look into people’s home, but that is not its intended purpose.
MIAMI (CBS4) – Miami-Dade’s newest crime fighting tool is a literal ‘eye in the sky’. The Micro Air Vehicle, or MAV for short, is a small radio controlled drone aircraft equipped with a portable camera system. Miami-Dade Sgt. Andrew Cohen said drone will be used to gather real time information in situations which may be too dangerous for officers. “If an SRT (Special Response Team) has to go into an area they don’t know what’s there, we don’t know what is in the backyard,” said Cohen, “They want to know if there are dogs in the backyard, if there is a shed, things that could be a threat to us.” Read More: miami.cbslocal.com/2011/03/09/dade-cops-waiting-to-get-crime-fighting-drone-airborne/

I traveleld PA alot on business some years back and I think I remember a few well organized, militant Amish compounds spread across some parts of the state. Those horse drawn black buggies are alot more dangerous than you think...

The big difference to the ones in Ohio and PA I have seen, is here they have to have a reflector and lights on them. One guy even has a rebel flag on his reflector and it says born to be a rebel on it. I used to laugh at that till I came out of the Dollar General Store and heard him playing Hank JR on a radio.

Looking at the number of "wrong house" stories, you'd think they would be putting more effort into ensuring they are knocking on RIGHT HOUSE first before playing with their new toy...

Looking at the number of "wrong house" stories, you'd think they would be putting more effort into ensuring they are knocking on RIGHT HOUSE first before playing with their new toy... When you have the monopoly on force backed by a govt... there is no need to show common sense when dealing with the peons.
