When ALL Law Enforcement (Federal, State, Local) and the Military accept these as their primary weapon, I MIGHT think about it.
As with any technology, especially new and unproven technology, it WILL have limits and/or flaws... Anyone ever heard of signal jammers? because the government and other criminals have.
Imagine the government being able to shutdown every civilian weapon in a specific area or even nation wide ... so yeah, I'll bet the Govt does want this tech instituted.
