Did ATF’s Determination on NICS Checks Open the Door for Manufacture of New Machineguns for Trusts?by Joshua Prince, Esq. | May 14, 2014 · 8:19 pm Therefore, pursuant to 26 U.S.C. 5812 and 5822, an unincorporated trust may lawfully transfer and make machineguns, as it is not a “person” for purposes of the GCA and Section 922 only applies to “persons” as defined by the GCA. And yes, this opens up a lot more issues for ATF in relation to the purchase of firearms by trusts under the GCA. Someone isn’t likely to be employed much longer… I will continue to update our viewers, as I have already submitted a Form 1 Application for a minigun…oh hell yeah I did… blog.princelaw.com/2014/05/14/did-atfs-determination-on-nics-checks-open-the-door-for-manufacture-of-new-machineguns-for-trusts/

h/t to freenorthcarolina for link Gonna grab a soda, some popcorn and a good seat to watch this one... Come on baby, got a little something I wanna build. ATF Approves Post-86 Machine Gun Form 1TFB, 11 Sept 2014 A while back we blogged about an individual who took the Prince Law Office’s determination that, as a result of the ATF clarifying that “unincorporated trusts” are not “persons” under the Gun Control Act, it may have opened a way for trusts to manufacture new Post-86 machine guns. As I have written about before, machine guns are and have always been legal in the US, but those made and registered after 1986 are not legal for civilians to own, so we may only keep trading the ones already on the market. Well a member of ar15.com submitted a form 1 for a machine gun (application for registration of an NFA firearm one produces) and it was approved… but don’t rejoice yet. www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2014/09/11/atf-approves-post-86-machine-gun-form-1/?utm_source=Newsletter&utm_medium=Email&utm_content=2014-09-16&utm_campaign=Weekly+Newsletter

Interview: Meet the Man Suing Eric Holder and the ATFNovember 20, 2014, Keith Coniglio Then... the ATF simply changed its mind. The recipients were told their stamps were “revoked.” Any machineguns manufactured were now possessed illegally and must be surrendered immediately. The recipients of the stamps received phone calls, letters and eventually personal visits to confiscate any modified firearms. The reason? “Because we said so.” www.dolpress.com/news/2014/11/20/interview-meet-the-man-suing-eric-holder-and-the-atf
