EXPOSED: Obama Taliban-For-Traitor Swap Illegal, Congress Not NotifiedJake Hammer, May 31, 2014 Excerpted from The Washington Post: Amid jubilation Saturday over the release of U.S. Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl from captivity by the Taliban, senior Republicans on Capitol Hill said they were troubled by the means by which it was accomplished, which was a deal to release five Afghan detainees from the military prison in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Top Republicans on the Senate and House armed services committees went so far as to accuse President Obama of having broken the law, which requires the administration to notify Congress before any transfers from Guantanamo are carried out. patdollard.com/2014/05/exposed-obama-taliban-for-traitor-swap-illegal-congress-not-notified/Reaction to Bergdahl release mixed on online forumJoe Gould, Army Times 7:17 p.m. EDT May 31, 2014 Many called Bergdahl a traitor or a deserter. Stephen Kirouac, calling Bergdahl a "dirtbag" and "sympathizer," was among many who seized on that speculation to criticize the rescued soldier. "He is a dirtbag that now should spend the next 20yrs+ in Leavenworth ... his fellow soldiers were affected by his actions, he is a sympathizer and deserves to be tried for desertion," said Kirouac, whose Facebook profile identifies him as a company commander at Fort Bragg, N.C. www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2014/05/31/military-online-reaction-mixed-to-bergdahl-release-/9819451/ Mysteriously the series of twitter posts by this soldier have been removed from the web over the past few hours... I bookmarked a couple pages this morning and they are coming back 505, pages can't be found.
The former soldier mentioned that he was worried about the Obama admin coming after him for the disclosures... probably with good reason.
Luckily someone made copies of the threads.Traitor Bergdahl Helped the Taliban Kill American TroopsJune 1, 2014 BostonsGazette This dispatch from the front came to me from an unimpeachable source. After you read it please pass it on so others can learn the truth of what the Obama Administration has just done. They have traded the Al-Qaeda high command for an American Taliban member. They have given this traitor, who helped the Taliban kill and wound American soldiers, a hero’s welcome. I wonder if any of the soldiers, wounded while trying to rescue him in Afghanistan, died in America while waiting for treatment in the V.A. system? From a soldier who was there: bostongazette.wordpress.com/2014/06/01/traitor-bergdahl-joined-taliban/Bergdahl’s father’s deleted tweet a smoking gun?Written by Allen West on June 1, 2014 Take a look at this tweet from released Army SGT Bowe Bergdahl’s father — which has since disappeared from his account. Folks, this is either a very bad case of Stockholm Syndrome or something far more nefarious is at stake. Regardless, there is more to this than meets the eye of Obama making a unilateral decision and announcement on a Saturday — when he believes no one is watching. This is not just going to slip away and we’re not going to get caught up in the emotion of Bergdahl’s release. He wasn’t “captured” — he deserted his assigned post. allenbwest.com/2014/06/bergdahls-fathers-deleted-tweet-smoking-gun/

The men had been held at the U.S. naval base at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba since 2002 and were classed by the Pentagon as "high-risk" and "likely to pose a threat". State Department refuses to call Bergdahl a deserterJun. 2, 2014 2:04pm Pete Kasperowicz State Department Spokeswoman Jen Psaki on Monday repeatedly refused to call U.S. Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl a deserter, despite numerous press reports indicating that Bergdahl may have walked off the base after deciding he no longer supported the U.S. military mission in Afghanistan. Many of those press reports cite soldiers who served with Bergdahl in Afghanistan. That has led to questions about whether the U.S. should have offered to free five enemy combatant detainees from Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, in order to ensure Bergdahl’s return to the United States. www.theblaze.com/blog/2014/06/02/state-department-refuses-to-call-bergdahl-a-deserter/Is the Taliban Still Considered a ‘Terrorist Group’? Jay Carney Won’t SayJun. 2, 2014 2:51pm Fred Lucas As White House press secretary Jay Carney fielded questions about the prisoner swap that led to the release of a U.S. Army sergeant from captivity by the Taliban, he didn’t give a yes-or-no answer on a key question. Asked directly whether the U.S. still regards the Taliban “as a terrorist group,” Carney replied: “We regard the Taliban as an enemy combatant in a conflict that has been going on, in which the U.S. has been involved in for more than a decade.” www.theblaze.com/stories/2014/06/02/is-the-taliban-still-considered-a-terrorist-group-jay-carney-wont-say/
Could Obama be impeached over prisoner swap which brought home soldier who 'walked away' from his unit? Republicans claim deal was ILLEGAL *The president ignored a law – which he signed last year – requiring him to notify Congress 30 days before releasing anyone from Guantanamo Bay *The Obama administration never told Capitol Hill until after Bergdahl was in American custody and the US Taliban prisoners were preparing to leave *A former federal prosecutor told MailOnline that while the 30-day-notice law is probably unconstitutional, putting enemy combatants back in a position to harm Americans is an impeachable offense *A White House insider said Obama administration officials didn't anticipate how controversial Bergdahl's rescue would be, and compared it to the 1981 release of 52 US hostages in Iran *Since Saturday several of Bergdahl's former military comrades have said he was an Army deserter, and some have speculated that he also aimed to join with the Taliban in Afghanistan *An official Pentagon report concluded in 2010 that Bergdahl 'walked away,' so little effort was made to retrieve him, according to the APBy David Martosko, U.s. Political Editor, Published: 13:03 EST, 2 June 2014 | Updated: 23:29 EST, 2 June 2014 Barack Obama broke a federal law that he signed just six months ago when he authorized the release of five high-ranking Taliban terror targets from the Guantanamo Bay detention center in exchange for the return of U.S. Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, senior congressional Republicans claimed today. And the president may also have written a new chapter in the case for his own impeachment, according to a former federal prosecutor who helped bring the 1993 World Trade Center bombers to justice. Bowe Bergdahl would be a political boon in the midst of the VA scandal, he is in for a big surprise. Soon after Obama revealed that Bergdahl was to be released, we learned the president agreed to release five of the most hardcore Taliban fighters from America’s terrorist detention facility in Guantanamo Bay in exchange. “While not as well known as Guantanamo inmates like 9-11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the Taliban 5 were some of the worst outlaws in the U.S. war on terror,” Eli Lake and Josh Rogin report in The Daily Beast, noting a Pentagon “dossier” that deemed all five “a high risk to launch attacks against the United States and its allies if they were liberated.” dailycaller.com/2014/06/02/how-bergdahl-could-become-bergdahlzi/

swordattheready.wordpress.com/2014/06/02/obama-commits-high-treason/Obama Commits High Treason His Heinous Secretly Releases 5 Jihad Commanders to the Taliban in exchange for a Deserter who went AWOL. Then we find out that this AWOL deserter is to be PROMOTED to Staff Sergeant. The list of high crimes and misdemeanors agains this Imperial Dictator now ruling us continues to mount. In this particular case Obama committed Statutory Violation of the Defense Authorization Act by providing felony materiel support to terrorism by returning 5 Command Personnel to the Taliban. There is no exemption for the CINC for that provision of Federal law but Obama asserts he has the authority to do so at his own discretion. Once again Obama has chosen to ignore a law he does not like in order to create his own law. The law he ignored makes it a felony crime to give any money, materiel or personnel to terrorist organizations. Obama just provided the Taliban with 5 high-ranking Command personnel we had detained. Obama has no legal power to do this, but asserts his CINC status gives him such authority, which is a crock. By violating the DAA he committed high treason in doing so, making up a cockamamie story almost as believable as an anti-Islamic YouTube video inciting the 2012 Egyptian riots by claiming that Bergdahl’s health was in serious condition. Of course the evidence that Obama knew he was going to commit treason is the fact he did not notify Congress of this decision to act, even though HE SAID LAST YEAR he would not make any deals with the Taliban to swap terrorists for Bergdahl until he notified Congress: Carney said. “As we have long said, however, we would not make any decisions about transfer of any detainees without consulting with Congress and without doing so in accordance with U.S. law.” The White House admitted that they were aware of the fact there was a law that required them to notify Congress – but that was so 2013 ago. Times have changed. Obama is now dictator and is able to pick and choose what laws he will uphold and follow. In addition, The Taliban are no longer a terror group according to Obama, which he says would EXEMPT this action he took. So now they are called ‘enemy combatants’ – as if we were fighting a nation-state instead of terrorists. This gives the ‘legal cover’ for Obama to supposedly act as he did. So he returns 5 Jihadist COMMANDERS to an ‘enemy’ who IS STILL CARRYING OUT OFFENSIVE OPERATIONS Against Americans FOR ONE AWOL soldier. That is BEYOND a dereliction of duty, that is outright aid, comfort and personnel provision to an enemy during a time of war. But NONE dare call it TREASON. But to add insult to injury after throwing salt in our wounds, a SENIOR Defense official confirmed tonight that the AWOL soldier is going to be PROMOTED to STAFF SERGEANT! This AFTER the U.S. concluded in 2010 that Bergdahl walked away. On whose orders is an AWOL Deserter who was hapless enough to be ‘captured’, who cost the life of 14 Americans who went looking for him GET PROMOTED??? Still America slumbers as this Trojan Horse continues to dismantle us from the highest office in the land. Anyone recall that Obama wrote in his version of Mein Kampf that “he would stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift into an ugly direction?” But Congress under the leadership of Boehner and McConnell pop out minor snippets to the media of their concern but in truth will DO NOTHING but be complicit in this treason.

h/t my son Nate www.ijreview.com/2014/06/143680-15-things-need-know-obamas-exchange-last-american-pow-5-gitmo-terrorists/11 Things You Need to Know about Obama’s Exchange of the ‘Last American POW’ for 5 Gitmo Terrorists Reports are flying around the president’s unilateral transfer of “the last American POW” in the Afghan War for 5 dangerous Gitmo prisoners. Here are 11 stories that will give you a sense of the controversy and questions swirling around this news: 1. President Obama Almost Certainly Broke the Law President Obama did not consult Congress when making the transfer of 5 Taliban commanders at Gitmo for Bowe Bergdahl. The Washington Post raises questions about whether the president violated the law regarding terrorism policy: Congressional Republicans and others focused on a series of concerns that are likely to reverberate in coming days: whether the deal breached U.S. policy forbidding negotiations with terrorists, whether sufficient safeguards were in place to ensure that the released Taliban prisoners do no further harm to the United States and whether Congress was informed about the prisoner trade, as required by law. 2. The 5 Taliban Commanders Released Were Among the Most Dangerous at Gitmo Numerous publications note that these detained terrorists were among the worst at the facility. The Daily Beast gets to the point: The five Guantanamo detainees released by the Obama administration in exchange for America’s last prisoner of war in Afghanistan, Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, are bad guys. They are top Taliban commanders the group has tried to free for more than a decade. . According to a 2008 Pentagon dossier on Guantanamo Bay inmates, all five men released were considered to be a high risk to launch attacks against the United States and its allies if they were liberated. 3. Soldiers Who Served with Bergdahl are Making Claims He Was a Deserter CNN’s Jake Tapper reports that soldiers who served with Bergdahl are calling him a “deserter,” not a “hero”: “I was pissed off then and I am even more so now with everything going on,” said former Sgt. Matt Vierkant, a member of Bergdahl’s platoon when he went missing on June 30, 2009. “Bowe Bergdahl deserted during a time of war and his fellow Americans lost their lives searching for him.” . Vierkant said Bergdahl needs to not only acknowledge his actions publicly but face a military trial for desertion under the Uniform Code of Military Justice. 4. Soldiers Who Served with Bergdahl Signed Non-Disclosure Agreements Not to Reveal What Happened Again, from CNN’s Jake Tapper: Many of Bergdahl’s fellow troops — from the seven or so who knew him best in his squad, to the larger group that comprised the 1st Battalion, 501st Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division — told CNN that they signed nondisclosure agreements agreeing to never share any information about Bergdahl’s disappearance and the efforts to recapture him. . Some were willing to dismiss that document in hopes that the truth would come out about a soldier who they now fear is being hailed as a hero, while the men who lost their lives looking for him are ignored

Bergdahl Uproar Has WH in Damage Control ModeBy Alexis Simendinger - June 4, 2014 What could be more uplifting? Amid a national uproar over veterans’ health care, President Obama would surprise Americans and the steadfast parents of Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl by celebrating a soldier’s negotiated rescue from the Taliban’s clutches after five long years. As the Afghanistan War lumbered to what Obama vowed last week would be a “responsible” end, the last American POW from that conflict would come home. That was the script, but the rest of the story sent the White House scrambling into its third day of damage control Tuesday. Obama found himself spending part of his day defending his decisions even though he was traveling in Poland. Back home, the president’s chief of staff, Denis McDonough, and deputy national security adviser, Tony Blinken, went to Capitol Hill seeking to quiet accusations that the president ignored statutory instructions to alert Congress in advance about such prisoner swaps. Lawmakers urged investigatory hearings. www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2014/06/04/bergdahl_uproar_has_wh_in_damage_control_mode_122855.html
Obama admits: it’s ‘absolutely’ possible that released prisoners may attack us againBy Robert Laurie June 3, 2014 OK, sure. We released some really bad guys as part of President Obama’s illegal deal with the Taliban. But, hey, don’t worry. None of these guys will ever be rejoining their terrorist organizations, and none of them will ever pose a threat again. Right? Wrong. According to none other than President Obama, it’s entirely possible that the five recently released prisoners will attack us again - once the homecoming parties die down, of course. canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/63531

Soldier: Army told us to lie about Bergdahl’s captureposted at 2:01 pm on June 4, 2014 by Ed Morrissey The State Department’s attempt to shut up the soldiers who served with Bowe Bergdahl at the time of his capture may end up backfiring on the White House, which has apparently decided to attack their integrity rather than explain their own spin on the issue. One soldier appeared on Fox and Friends this morning who took part in the post-desertion search for Bergdahl and said that the military instructed them to lie about the circumstances of Bergdahl’s disappearance (via Noah Rothman at Mediaite): hotair.com/archives/2014/06/04/soldier-army-told-us-to-lie-about-bergdahls-capture/ Why Team Obama Was Blindsided by the Bergdahl BacklashThe president and Ms. Rice seem to think that the crime of desertion in wartime is kind of like skipping class.June 3, 2014 6:40 PM, By Ralph Peters Congratulations, Mr. President! Ouch: Bergdahl’s Home Town Cancels Plans For Homecoming Celebration…June 4, 2014 4:20 pm For obvious reasons.weaselzippers.us/188452-ouch-bergdahls-home-town-cancels-plans-for-homecoming-celebration/Bergdahl's hometown cancels 'Welcome Home' ceremony amid questions, threatsBy Michael Lundin, Published June 04, 2014, FoxNews.com But the jubilation that followed his release has given way to confusion and fear, as questions about whether Bergdahl was a deserter have surfaced. City Hall has been inundated with angry letters and emails from around the country. The long-planned "Welcome Back, Bowe" celebration, planned for June 28 in Hop Porter Park, was canceled Wednesday amid growing claims by Bergdahl's fellow soldiers that he deserves no honor. “This man deserves no welcome," reads one of the many emails City Administrator Heather Dawson has fielded at City Hall. "His reward is being alive, unlike the brave soldiers who actually followed their orders and continued to search for him knowing full well he had deserted his post.” “You and anyone else involved in organizing this farce of a celebration should be ashamed of yourselves,” reads another. www.foxnews.com/us/2014/06/04/bergdahl-hometown-cancels-welcome-home-ceremony-amid-questions-threats/Rose Garden honors: 'The right thing to do' -- but for the wrong reasonBy Pete Hegseth, Published June 04, 2014, FoxNews.com And no doubt the Bergdahl family is happy to have their son safe at home; while the debate over the wisdom of the deal is appropriate, no one begrudges the fact that the family is reunited after a difficult ordeal. But given the serious questions about the circumstances of Bergdahl’s capture, why spotlight his family’s suffering, when so many families have suffered loss as loved ones were killed or injured in Afghanistan or Iraq? Few of them have been invited to the White House to have their sacrifice celebrated in the Rose Garden, even though their loved ones served with unquestioned honor and distinction and their suffering will last a lifetime. That’s the problem with Carney’s clumsy and obvious attempt at political spin. It’s clear to anyone who’s paying attention that the White House was hoping to achieve a bump in political approval from the announcement, and hosting the Rose Garden ceremony for the media was the way to make it look like a celebratory occasion. www.foxnews.com/opinion/2014/06/04/bergdahl-rose-garden-honor-right-thing-to-do-but-for-wrong-reason/

What Caught Lone Survivor Marcus Luttrell ‘Off-Guard’ in Bergdahl Prisoner Exchange?Jun. 4, 2014 2:31pm Erica Ritz Former Navy SEAL Marcus Luttrell doesn’t typically follow politics, joking that he prefers to see his enemy in front of him on the battlefield. But after the Obama administration released five senior Taliban leaders from the prison at Guantanamo Bay in exchange for the return of Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, who was held captive by the Taliban for nearly five years, many have been asking for his insight. The lone survivor of Operation Redwing in Afghanistan, Luttrell told Glenn Beck Wednesday that the Taliban did all they could not only to kill him, but to “cut [his] head off.” “They were doing everything they could to get to me to kill me,” he said. “That’s the part that kind of got me off-guard, was the fact that they held him,” Luttrell continued, expressing surprise that Bergdahl was kept alive this long. “They don’t normally do that.” www.theblaze.com/stories/2014/06/04/what-caught-lone-survivor-marcus-luttrell-off-guard-in-bergdahl-prisoner-exchange/Why Did the AP Edit Out a Passage From a Bergdahl Story That Was Potentially Embarrassing for the Obama Administration?Jun. 4, 2014 4:56pm Zach Noble In its initial reporting on the weekend release of Sgt. The AP has since nixed that passage, cutting Hagel and the silent soldiers out of its final version, and while the AP is defending the move as standard practice, Tom Blumer at the conservative media watchdog NewsBusters contends that the retroactive content-scrubbing is revisionist history — and could be aimed at helping reduce embarrassment for the Obama administration. www.theblaze.com/stories/2014/06/04/why-did-the-ap-edit-out-a-passage-from-a-bergdahl-story-that-was-potentially-embarrassing-for-the-obama-administration/

swordattheready.wordpress.com/2014/06/05/obama-doubles-down-no-apologies-calls-bergdahls-fellow-soldiers-who-say-he-deserted-psychopaths/Obama Doubles Down: “No Apologies” – Calls Bergdahl’s Fellow Soldiers Who Say He Deserted “Psychopaths” Obama says anger over Bergdahl Swap with Taliban is a “Whipped up controversy”, White House officials accuse vets of “Swift Boating” while the Marxist Media insists criticism is the result of “Obama-hate syndrome”. The contempt for anyone who dares to disagree with His Heinous is becoming more pronounced and egregious each day. Obama and his MarxoFascists have decided to go to war against anyone and everyone who dares to question his surrender to the Taliban by releasing 5 Jihadist COMMANDERS for one Traitor who deserted his post to join the Taliban. Why Were Bergdahl’s Fellow Soldiers Forced To Sign “Nondisclosure Agreements Not To Talk About His Disappearance’? How dare we point out that according to those in his unit, Bergdahl was ‘seeking out the Taliban’ and that after he was ‘captured’, suddenly IEDs and ambushes against his unit were more accurate and successful. So in response to these facts coming out, the Obama regime has decided to go to war on those men. First, White House officials accuse Bergdahl’s fellow soldiers of ‘Swift-Boating’ Bergdahl. Then an Obama Regime official attempts to assassinate them politically by declaring them “psychopaths” while Obama himself set the narrative by declaring any questions into Bergdahl’s release to be nothing but a “whipped up controversy”.

Obama at war: Administration official smears troops who served with Bergdahl as ‘psychopaths’By: John Hayward, 6/5/2014 09:34 AM You knew this was going to happen. You just didn’t know which “low-level rogue” member of the Administration would be the first to drop heavy rhetorical ordnance on the troops who served with Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl. It turns out to be Brandon Friedman, deputy assistant secretary of public affairs at the Department of Housing and Urban Development, who is a military veteran himself. You can bet everyone in this Administration with a military resume is being quietly felt out by Obama’s political team to see how far they might be willing to go, in order to protect His Majesty’s rapidly disintegrating political narrative. One of the striking things about the Bergdahl affair is that literally no one is willing to back up the Administration’s narrative, peddled by Benghazi fabulist Susan Rice on the Sunday shows, that Bergdahl was a war hero captured on the field of battle. Not one person with first-hand knowledge of Bergdahl’s disappearance has stepped forward to buttress this story. The mind reels at the incentives provided to any soldier willing to do so, but so far, no takers. On the contrary, even though they were forced to sign non-disclosure agreements and ordered to either keep quiet or spread disinformation, numerous members of the unit have come forward to testify that Bergdahl deserted his post. At least two of them, Sgt. Evan Beutow and Spc. Josh Fuller, have been willing to go on the record with well-founded suspicions that Bergdahl actively collaborated with the Taliban. www.humanevents.com/2014/06/05/obama-at-war-administration-official-smears-troops-who-served-with-bergdahl-as-psychopaths/ New White House spin: We broke the law because the Taliban ordered us toBy: John Hayward, 6/5/2014 01:02 PM Taken seriously, this is an argument for removing Barack Obama from the Oval Office immediately – I mean, before sunset today – because he’s the biggest walking, talking national security risk America has ever seen. If the Taliban can order him to violate U.S. laws, there’s no telling what else they could make him do – or, indeed, might have already instructed him to do. To say nothing of what they’ll order him to do when they grab their next set of hostages, which they’re currently promising to do as soon as possible, as they dished to Time Magazine: www.humanevents.com/2014/06/05/new-white-house-spin-we-broke-the-law-because-the-taliban-ordered-us-to/Exclusive: The story you haven’t yet heard about Bowe Bergdahl’s desertionBy: Michelle Malkin, 6/5/2014 09:26 AM Are you listening, Capitol Hill and America? The Bowe Bergdahl mess isn’t just a story about one deserter, but two. There’s the muddle-headed lowlife who left his post and brothers behind. And there’s the corrupt commander in chief who has jeopardized more American soldiers’ lives to “rescue” Bergdahl by bowing to the Taliban, while snubbing the surviving heroes and the eight dead American soldiers who lost their lives because of him. This cannot stand. www.humanevents.com/2014/06/05/exclusive-the-story-you-havent-yet-heard-about-bowe-bergdahls-desertion/

The Curious Case of Bowe Bergdahlby Sharyl Attkisson, June 4, 2014 There must be a lot that we still don’t know about the curious case of Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl. Surely, the Obama administration wouldn’t have dispatched National Security Adviser Susan Rice to publicly announce that Bergdahl had “served the United States with honor and distinction” if there weren’t supporting information to which the rest of us aren’t yet privy. Rice made that statement on ABC’s This Week with George Stephanopoulos. There appears to be several possibilities: sharylattkisson.com/the-curious-case-of-bowe-bergdahl/

h/t U.S. Constitutional Free Press Oliver North: ‘Someone paid a ransom,’ maybe $5 or 6 million, to get Bergdahl freed Former U.S. Marine Corps Lt. Col. Oliver North said the Obama administration should be asked if a ransom was paid to the Taliban on top of the release of five senior enemy combatants to secure the freedom of U.S. Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl. “Was there a ransom paid?” North asked Tuesday while discussing Bergdahl’s release with J.D. Hayworth, co-host of Newsmax TV’s ”America’s Forum.” “Did the government of the United States, either directly or indirectly, finance a terrorist organization?” North asked. ”I’m talking about a fiscal, financial money transaction, in this?” “I’ve been there and done that more times than I care to talk about and the world knows it,” North said after describing how exchanges of this type take place. In a later appearance on Newsmax TV’s ”The Steve Malzberg Show,” North said Bergdahl was being held by the Haqqanis, a terrorist group with connections to al Qaida, and was not a prisoner of war. And he was even more insistent that a ransom was paid. “Someone paid a ransom,” he told Malzberg. “Whether the Qataries paid it, or some big oil sheik, or somebody used our petrodollars, but there was a ransom paid in cash for each one of them, my guess somewhere in the round numbers of $5 or 6 million to get Bergdahl freed. I know that the offer that was on the table before was close to a million.” www.bizpacreview.com/2014/06/04/oliver-north-someone-paid-a-ransom-maybe-5-or-6-million-to-get-bergdahl-freed-123127

Official: Bergdahl Details Don’t Add Up, Was A Cash Ransom Paid Too?I keep saying “ask what else is part of the deal”. Originally there was money included in the proposal early on. $1 million dollars was on the table at one point. Was it paid?
What else is involved with the deal? Another question. He was held by the Haqqani all this time, so what did they get out of this deal?weaselzippers.us/188849-official-bergdahl-details-dont-add-up-was-a-cash-ransom-paid-too/Report: Obama Regime Guaranteed 5 Released Taliban Commanders “Would Be Safe From Arrest By Any Country For A Year”According to NBC News, as we noted earlier, one of the five Taliban commanders released in the Bergdahl deal, has promised to return to the fight already. Wonder no longer, it didn’t take a week. There is also something else in the deal that hasn’t come out until now. Apparently, according to NBC, “the U.S. had provided written assurances that no country would arrest any of the five freed for a year as long as they lived peacefully”, one of his relatives told NBC News by telephone from Afghanistan. weaselzippers.us/188804-wonder-why-the-obama-regime-has-not-revealed-details-of-deal-to-release-taliban-commanders/

WELL, THIS IS INTERESTING: Looks Like Bowe Bergdahl's Father Was in Contact With Al QaedaSaturday, June 07, 2014 Liberty Speaks co-blogger "Lady Liberty" contacted me earlier today with some interesting information. directorblue.blogspot.ca/2014/06/well-this-is-interesting-looks-like.html The Obama admin 'smears and spin' machine in overdrive: Looks like the 'Swiftboating' spin isn't sticking, so now its on to investigating the soldiers stationed with the Bowe 'the traitor' Bergdahl as war crimes participants... you can't make this crap up, or can you?Don’t just investigate Bergdahl, investigate the conduct of his entire unitBy Ray Hanania Was Bergdahl being bullied by his colleagues? Bergdahl, accordingt o his cadre of haters and colleagues, reportedly expressed concerns about what the United States was doing in Afghanistan and in the so-called “War on Terrorism.” Funny how everyone wants to investigate Bergdahl and just convict him without a trial, but they don’t want to talk about the repeated rumors and reporting on the war crimes that have been committed by some of our soldiers who have killed, intentionally and unintentionally through faulty procedures, civilians who had nothing to do with terrorism. We need to investigate not only what happened to Bergdahl, but also what caused him to flee, if in fact that’s what he did as his haters allege. We need to also investigate charges from Afghani citizens who claim their loved ones were murdered by American soldiers for no reason. The number of killings seem to exceed those that happened during the Vietnam War. These war crimes don’t represent all of our American soldiers fighting in Afghanistan and Iraq, but they exist. The U.S. Military has fought hard to bury the incidents and not prosecute or investigate them. What are they afraid of? thearabdailynews.com/2014/06/07/dont-just-investigate-bergdahl-investigate-entire-unit/ A 'Black Heart' medal for Bergdahl's No-Show OfficersJune 7, 2014, By Russ Vaughn This Bergdahl swap is emitting a growing stench that is more apparent to those who are serving and those who have served. A huge question is why those who served in Bergdahl’s squad, platoon and company may have been intimidated into silence by being required to sign Non-Disclosure Agreements by their superiors. My take on that is that the Army and the Obama administration were embarrassed by the desertion and probable defection of an American G.I. in Afghanistan. Knowing what I have learned in the past five years about this “most transparent” administration, they were eager to avoid the negative publicity such an event might generate. www.americanthinker.com/blog/2014/06/black_heart_for_bergdahls_noshow_officers.htmlParents of Army Deserter Bowe Bergdahl “Really Hurt” By Backlash Against Traitor Son’s Gitmo Exchange…The dad didn’t exactly help his son’s cause when he invoked Allah during his White House press conference with Obama.weaselzippers.us/188951-parents-of-army-deserter-bowe-bergdahl-really-hurt-by-backlash-against-traitor-sons-gitmo-exchange/

White House reportedly let Bergdahl parents take part in secure video conferencesPublished June 09, 2014, FoxNews.com Larry Johnson, a former State Department official who worked on the cases of American citizens taken hostage in Lebanon during the 1980s, told the Times that granting such access to the family of a missing person was "wrong." "The Bergdahls shouldn't have been part of that for no other reason than on the off chance they may inadvertently divulge some tactic," Johnson told the paper. "I mean, it's one thing for government officials to interview the family, get insights from the family about what’s going on."But to put them in the middle of what is essentially a classified secure video conference is ridiculous." Col. Marsano told The Times that he was not aware that the Bergdahls had exposed any sensitive information and would not discuss whether the couple had a security clearance or if any classified matters were brought up in the briefings. www.foxnews.com/politics/2014/06/09/white-house-reportedly-let-bergdahl-parents-take-part-in-secure-video/ A pardon for Bowe Bergdahl?Posted on June 8, 2014 by Paul Mirengoff When Bowe Bergdahl was first released, the administration’s line seemed to be that he had suffered enough as a Taliban prisoner, and thus that the U.S. would not likely punish him as a deserter even if that’s what he turned out to be. But as the deal came in for strong criticism and evidence mounted as to Bergdahl’s betrayal, the line changed. We were assured by the military that Bergdahl’s conduct would be investigated and, if misconduct were found, he would be subject to the military justice system. In the meantime, we should withhold judgment. But Bill Otis predicts that, regardless of the facts (which so far point unambiguously to the conclusion that Bergdahl deserted), Bergdahl will never face a military trial because President Obama will pardon him. Bill, who worked on presidential pardons in the last days of the Bush 41 administration, has even drafted a statement to accompany the pardon (see below). It’s written in perfect Obamaese, which should worry those of us who are close to Bill. www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2014/06/a-pardon-for-bergdahl.php

Code Pink, American Muslim Alliance welcome home Bowe BergdahlPosted at 7:34 pm on June 10, 2014 by Twitchy Staff | View Comments Members of Code Pink gathered in front of the White House today to welcome home Bowe Bergdahl, who is reportedly in a military hospital in Germany. They were joined by representatives of Veterans for Peace, ANSWER Coalition and the American Muslim Alliance. A slightly wider angle shows a rather cozy gathering, with signs calling for an end to the war in Afghanistan and the closure of Guantanamo. twitchy.com/2014/06/10/code-pink-american-muslim-alliance-welcome-home-bowe-bergdahl/

Not Likely Bergdahl Will Be Court-MartialedBy Aaron Goldstein on 6.11.14 | 3:50PM A week ago, I argued that Bowe Bergdahl must face court-martial proceedings for desertion. But the more I think about it the less likely I think it will happen. When you consider the lengths the military went to hush up Bergdahl's desertion up to and including compelling members of his unit to sign non-disclosure agreements, any proceeding would cause the Army great embarrassment and quite possibly do more harm to it than to Bergdahl. Under those circumstances, the military will avoid initiating proceedings at all costs. spectator.org/blog/59599/not-likely-bergdahl-will-be-court-martialed

IMMEDIATE RELEASE Release No: NR-319-14 June 16, 2014 Statement by U.S. Army on Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl InvestigationThe Army has initiated its investigation into the facts and circumstances surrounding the disappearance and capture of Sgt. Bowe R. Bergdahl from Combat Outpost Mest-Lalak in Paktika Province, Afghanistan on or about June 30, 2009. The Army has appointed as the investigating officer Maj. Gen. Kenneth R. Dahl, an Army officer with Afghanistan combat experience. The primary function of this investigation, as in any other investigation, is to ascertain facts and report them to the appointing authority. These types of investigations are not uncommon and serve to establish the facts on the ground following an incident. The investigating officer will have access to previously gathered documentary evidence, including the 2009 investigation. The Army's top priority remains Sgt. Bergdahl's health and reintegration. We ask that everyone respect the time and privacy necessary to accomplish the objectives of the last phase of reintegration. The investigating officer will not interview Sgt. Bergdahl until the reintegration team clears such interaction, so no timeline for completion of the investigation has been set. For more information, please contact Lt. Col. Alayne Conway at 703 614-1742, or by email at alayne.p.conway.mil@mail.mil. www.defense.gov/Releases/Release.aspx?ReleaseID=16776
