This should get quiet a few families into Home Schooling. Hmmmmm! Is that the end point I see. Could the Feds be so dumb as to think that people will begin to pay the Fedschools for an education for their kids after the State schools die off? Is this another cost reduction for the culling of the heard? Most state schools receive over 30% of their money from Federal grants and assistance programs. If the Feds cut funding to all schools who don't teach the Fed line soon the dole babies will have to move to smaller and smaller areas for that free breakfast and lunch that pays for the grants to the schools. Can we just call it Segregation from the purse? This will also stop the rest of our wives from working since they have to stay home and school the kids. However what works for you can also work against you. Stay at home moms don't need that second car. Home schooled kids don't need those $100.00 sports shoes and designer clothes (or at least as many). Stay at home moms can raise food along with the kids. If she has a better job Dad can do the home scene and Mom can take the hits. Hmmmmmm! Is that a light on the horizon?

Is that a light on the horizon?
Homeschoolers increase yearly and this can only spur it along. As of last year, 5% of kids were homeschooled in NC.

My kids are doing the school at home thing, not just the class part, but the learn all about life part. Mom works full time, so I do the stay at home part. My kids are smarter, have more common sense, are more respectful, know about gardening and raising chickens, and they love to help in the kitchen with the canning. The neighbor kids just want to play video games. The oldest one wants to go hunting with me as soon as she can.
Does this home school thing work? Oh yeah! We won't do it any other way, no matter what the man says.

majority of parents in America probably don't know a whole lot about it.
Truth be know all a majority of parents care about is that the kids go someplace during the day so they don't have to bother with them Then you have the "Afflicted Families" whose kids get picked up early so they can get a good "FREE" breakfast on the taxpayers so Mom can sleep in a bit longer. These folks don't care if the kids learn anything at all. They expect them to be on the dole like themselves.
