Nice links to look at, but it seems most, if not everything is "out of stock".....can't imagine why that is.

Nice links to look at, but it seems most, if not everything is "out of stock".....can't imagine why that is. Because EVERYONE is buying everything that they can get, whether they can afford it or not. Prior to Clinton's AWB I owned an M1 Carbine, a Marlin 39A and a 1911 with about a box of ammo per. Then when it looked like I may NEVER be able to get more I went crazy buying every gun, bullet, box of primers, pound of powder, etc... that I could. I maxed out two credit cards. That is what people are doing now. Only bigger I think. Assuming politicians leave Semi Autos alone (which they will NOT) it will be years before the industry is back to normal. Prices will likely never go down as the new norm will be somewhere between what you WERE paying and what it is found that people are willing to pay. Much like what has occurred with gasoline and diesel. If we get 1,000 Bolt carriers in one day they are gone as fast as we can pack them. If we got 10,000 in it would be the same. There are not enough manufacturers in the world capable of making quality AR-15 bolt carriers to even scratch the surface of demand. If you HAVE an AR I would not sell it now. It will be worth more later. Assuming civilization lasts that long. I have no (none, nada, zilch zero) pity for someone that has a nice house/new car/SUV/ATV/boat/smart phone/Ipad/big screen, etc....... but no AR or other suitable self defense weapon. I have my priorities and they have theirs. If these people can afford a $1,000+ house payment or a car/SUV payment then they can afford to pay full price to defend their family. JMO

You like the M-16, and so does Morsby. However some of us, have seen the weapon not preform to the levels we demand. We choose other weapons, or calibers. Why go toe to toe with someone with the same weapon, when they have advantages in armor, transportation, aircover, and indirect fire? That is your choice and ours.
