We have all ran across things we wish we had not bought.
This is a warning on one of those.
I purchased a M53, Yugo clone of a MG42. It is in 8mm, and one of the reasons I purchased this item was to convert it to .308.
You all know how I feel on common ammo, and a full size round being better than smaller rounds.
Wise Lite Arms Boyd, TX makes the only semi-suto mg42 clone, that is not easly convertable to .308. If you are looking at going belt feed, for a MG look elsewhere, as limiting this weapon to 8mm, because of poor engineering, reduces the usefullness of this weapon in a WROL situation.
I guess, I now need to buy 8mm Mauser ammo, and reloading dies. I hope I can find Boxer primed 8mm ammo.
This just cost me $200 dollars for the conversion kit. I can not use.
