Taxpayer smackdown 'wave of the future'? According to a report from WSB-TV in Atlanta, residents want more local control of government services and greater efficiency. So Brookhaven residents have voted to join a growing trend in Atlanta-area cities that are breaking free of fiscal mismanagement and elected officials who aren’t accountable to citizens. www.wnd.com/2012/08/taxpayer-smackdown-wave-of-the-future/

Thats been happening quite a bit here, many are starting the process of breaking away from counties and reconstituting as cities and towns, and so far all have been a success... But every single time, one does it, "the powers that be" throw a fit... Oh, they will never make it on their own... Oh, they are taking from the rest of us by greedily pulling their funds away from the greater cause... Blah, Blah, Blah Georgia has some of the worst political corruption I have seen, although not nearly on the level of New Orleans or Chicago, the nepotism and cronyism run wild here. We have been getting it under control for the last 10 years or so, and of course the politicians are not very cooperative. You people think you have politicians that are idiots... Hank Johnson Worries Guam Could "Capsize" After Marine BuildupIn a discussion regarding a planned military buildup on the Pacific island, Johnson expressed some concerns about the plans to Adm. Robert Willard, head of the U.S. Pacific fleet. "My fear is that the whole island will become so overly populated that it will tip over and capsize," Johnson said. Willard paused and replied, "We don't anticipate that." www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-20001567-503544.html

When I saw Hank Johnson demonstrate his awesome intellect a while back my first impression was "and he gets paid?" My second thought was to get up off the floor with a gut ache from laughing so hard. I just couldn't imagine ANYONE being so absolutely clueless. Damn I missed my calling! Hell, I could have been a REP in Congress! Naw I'm to damned honest. ;D

At least 'ole Hank is not as bad as his predecessor Commie Jihadist Cynthia McKinney... The regime of Muammar Qaddafi in Libya received a boost from a special guest over the weekend, in its television propaganda against the country’s rebels and the NATO force opposing the government: Former Georgia Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney.

Pretty much anywhere in Georgia is Constitutional America...EXCEPT in the city of Atlanta or Fulton County. There you also have the bickering Black elitists...the King Family, who are insisting on only "sharing" the works of Dr. Martin Luthor King through approved "sales"...otherwise you can't quote the man.
I can't tell you how many times members of the King Family have been arrested on narcotics charges. At least the last Mayor of Atlanta was arrested on Corruption charges and won't be out of jail for another decade. Wonder if Rahm Emmanuel was paying attention?...doubtful...seems in Chicago they get away with it...

Several decades back, the control freaks were able to convince towns/cities to "metro". This allowed those who craved power and control more of a dominion and more money to graft from. Can't find the story, but a city down in Atlanta was successful in seceding from the city metro, and has flourished. Better parks, better police/fire protection, etc. Several cities are doing that in the L.A. Metro area, where this whole "metro" movement started. Just like the states pulling more control from the federal government, as these cities do this, and have success in doing so, more and more people will point to them and say, "We want that too." (same process for the CCW laws, the 55 mph laws, the "No Child Left Behind" laws...the list can go on) This whole freedom, self-government thing is contagious.... ;D

That would probably be the town of John's Creek, many other jurisdictions are also trying to bail on Dekalb Co., Fulton Co., and Atlanta.
