The way you did it is an attachment... but you are size restricted.
The other way is to find the pic you want on the web,
I usually do a search for web images, or right click the image in the story if you want to use it,
once you locate the pic you want to use, then select it and/or right click "view image".
Highlight and copy pic location from location bar in your browser. most will end in JPG, PNG, GIF, etc.
From the bottom button bar on our site select "insert image" button, Paste image between IMG tags, or you can paste the link, highlight the address and then select "insert image".
Put it in the wrong spot? delete/redo or just highlight and drag.
If the image does not actually go with the story, I use a line below the story to show it, many times I just use a specific image to "amplify" the story.
Using the attachment option you can only upload one image to the post, with the web link, many.
When you select the pic on the web, check the size of the pic, if you need a different size, select "view more sizes", then select one of those if needed.
Try to keep the size below 500 or it spreads and dis-forms the page a little too much... I usually post at around 400-500.
And everyone needs to remember, if you bone up a thread beyond recognition,
just delete it and start over... but if someone has already responded, then their comments will remain, you can only delete your comments, or contact an admin/mod to assist.
If any of you have questions on how to do something on the site... Please, just ask.
It's your site too, the more varied the threads, the merrier.
