As we saw in Iraq Muslims cannot entirely unite and never will. Yes they apepared to work togther until we pulled out and then the old tribal intincts kick in the majority or at elats the strongest fo the factions will dominate and persecute the weakest miniority. In the end Iran believes that by destrying or attempting to destroy the Great satan theyc an bring about the coming of the 12th Imam but that only happens in a world of chaos.

That world of chaos would happen if America is destroyed, or just gives up and becomes isolationist. That is the policies that allowed Hitler to become powerful. I fear many want to have the same approach with Iran. It would be even worse than what happened in Germany.

That world of chaos would happen if America is destroyed, or just gives up and becomes isolationist. I agree, the world will be a much darker place should we be diminished. But, minding ones own business is not isolationist, as the Constitution lays forth, we have several avenues (and procedures to follow) when the need to interject ourselves arises.

You cannot spread Liberty to those who have never known it, whose cultures do not accept it and who by nature are completely tribal in nature. Around the world these cultures have kept peace among themselves only when imposed through colonization by great Empires or subjugation by great Tyrannical governments. For America to try and nation build where no united nation could ever succeed is lunacy and history points this out. It is not isolationist to do what you should at home and let others deal with their own problems. If their problems present a national security risk then indeed there are avenues set forth by the Constitution to deal with this. Congress can declare war if it is an actual threat. We would be far better off dealing with our own problems at home, restoring this nation and truly becoming a beacon of the Light of Liberty for others to emulate. The world would indeed be a darker place without that beacon but our current path of nation building and foreign intervention do us more harm than good.

Liberty is a two edged sword. Liberty provides for good people to live together in harmony by respecting each other. However the same liberty provides the strong a platform and shield to do evil. The tyrants of the mid-east have been used as pawns by their financial supporters to control men and women like you and I for over a thousand years. The first taste of Freedom and liberty is a heady brew. The best way would be for us (the rest of the world) to step back and allow them to see how big their box really is. We shake our heads at the destruction of a single car bomb in Baghdad is yet forget that on that night in 1981 they had over 1,000,000 people killed during shock and awe. They will soon get over the car bomb, but they will always remember the million "collateral Damage" victims in Baghdad. The soldiers we sent into Iraq will awake nights for years and see that kid or woman laying in the street after a friendly fire barrage. It is that way with soldiers. Isolationism is the practice of minding your own business and allowing others to clean up their own messes.
