I sat in on a Missouri State Senate Hearing yesterday, hearing the "Health Care Freedom Act" SJR No 25. The act, already passed in the State House says nobody can compel Missourians to purchase any health insurance or single provider insurance, nor force payments to a single provider, nor impose penalty, fines, or prison for not participating in single payer health care.
The hearing was very well received by members of the committee. Included in the testimony was a Constitutional Lawyer who gave case study and insight. One of the Senators was very receptive to having a Constitutional Lawyer in their presence, noting how rare they ever really hear the Constitution and how it applies to current events.
A Sovereignty Act,last year, passed the House, but not the Senate. If passed this year, after committee perfections of language, the bill goes to amend the Missouri Constitution by the people's vote. 33 other states have sovereignty issues pending in their legislatures.
As a part of the Missouri Sovereignty Project, we have many state politicians definitely on board with signed pledges and the understanding that State Sovereignty is the last defense against Federal tyranny.
I consider myself fortunate being only 10 minutes from the Missouri State Capital. I go there frequently. And in fact, have been serving my local State Rep as a volunteer aide this past week. She is a CCW, life NRA member, sovereignty pledge and pro Fair Tax. I think I am in good company. This is the kind of local politician everyone needs to identify and support.
