Just like the socialist dems, the Constitution is now nothing but a obstacle to the GOP. If Trump signs it, he's a one term president as far as I'm concerned. Too bad, as I really thought he could be a catalyst for real change. If they can ban one firearms accessory, then they can ban 'em all, say goodby to every "military style" attachment on AR 15s... Forward grips, collapsible stocks, tactical optics, flash hiders/muzzle brakes... say adios to 'em all through 'Regulatory Directives'. You Republicans better step up, pretty bad when the GOP tops the Dems on pressing yet more onerous Gun Control laws upon law-abiding citizens... IN DIRECT VIOLATION OF THE CONSTITUTION (and the platform on which Trump campaigned). Report: President Trump Signing Bump Stock Ban, Citizens Have 90 Days to Turn Them In
The Associated Press, 29 Nov 2018 1:43 President Donald Trump is expected to announce that he will be signing a ban on bump stocks that gives Americans 90 days to hand them over or otherwise dispose of them. Bump stocks were used during the October 1, 2017, Las Vegas attack. That attack marked the first time that bump stocks were known to have been used in a crime. The ATF circulated language to ban bump stocks at Trump’s direction in December 2017. The public was allowed to comment and gun control outlet The Trace reported that 85 percent of those who commented opposed a ban. www.breitbart.com/politics/2018/11/29/report-president-trump-signing-bump-stock-ban-citizens-have-90-days-to-turn-them-in/

Utah guns rights advocate sues Trump administration over federal bump stock banDennis Romboy, Published: January 17, 2019 12:31 pm Updated: 3 hours ago SALT LAKE CITY — A Utah gun rights advocate is suing the federal government over a newly imposed ban on an accessory that modifies rifles to fire like automatic weapons. Clark Aposhian, chairman of the Utah Shooting Sports Council, argues in the lawsuit that the Department of Justice and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives violated the Constitution in prohibiting a device known as a bump stock. "This is obviously about bump stocks but I think it speaks to something much bigger," he said. "This is about government overreach. This is about administration overreach." www.deseretnews.com/article/900051171/utah-guns-rights-advocate-sues-trump-administration-over-federal-bump-stock-ban.html
