Paul Ryan Defends Robert Mueller: ‘Anything But’ a ‘Biased Partisan’
by Pam Key, 24 Jul 2017
Monday on WISN’s “The Jay Weber Show,” Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) defended special counsel Robert Mueller and his investigation into Russian election interference by saying Mueller was “anything but” a “biased partisan.”
A listener asked Ryan a question about why Republicans in Congress are not doing more to defend Trump against “what is becoming an obvious witch-hunt.”
Ryan replied, “Remember, Bob Mueller is a Republican, who was appointed by a Republican, who served in the Republican administration, and crossed over — I mean and stayed on until his term ended.”
He continued, “I don’t think many people are saying Bob Mueller is a person who is a biased partisan. He’s really, sort of, anything but.”

Mueller probe: Meet the lawyers who gave $$ to Hillary, now investigating team Trump

Mueller’s Russia Investigators: Conflicts of interest?
President Trump’s tough criticism of Special Counsel Robert Mueller signals a renewed effort to challenge his investigators’ credibility over their track record of pro-Democratic political donations and other associations.
There is no shortage of examples to fuel the president's case.
Of the 15 attorneys currently on staff for Mueller, at least seven have donated to Democratic candidates and campaigns, including Trump's 2016 rival Hillary Clinton. The rest have not made political donations, according to federal records; and none of the attorneys on Mueller’s roster donated money to Trump.
“This is just a witch hunt—it’s all a hoax,” White House Counselor Kellyanne Conway told “Fox & Friends” last week after Trump criticized Mueller in a New York Times interview. “People should know what folks’ past motivations, and their political motivations are—these weren’t minor donations, these were significant donations by members of that team.”

“Mr. President, this guy works for you”
CF, July 24th, 2017
Y’know, every time one of these Deep State termites is brought in by the establishment to head aninvestigation inquiry blue-ribbon panel witch hunt against somebody they dislike or fear, there’s always much blather puked forth from Business As Usual Washington about his “impartiality,” his “integrity,” his fearless determination to grapple honestly with the facts and get at the truth no matter where the chips may fall.
And every time, every single damned time, it ends up being some transparently partisan, obedient Deep State functionary like Comey who cheerfully dances to the Left’s tune and roots around until he can contrive a way to send somebody or other to the slammer, usually somebody who had little or nothing to do with the original “crime”—like, say, Martha Stewart or poor old Scooter Libby.
Sessions should never have allowed this maleficent farce to go forward; it’s a matter of no small curiosity to me why he did. But now it’s down to Trump to send the Left’s latest tapeworm packing. Schlichter is right that it will need to be deftly handled, and his letter would be a great way to lay the groundwork. Such as:
