Yes the Freedom Caucus did save Trumps ass, This time. But the GOP will correct that little oversight very soon... the GOP thirsts for death. Did the Freedom Caucus Save the Trump Presidency?By Denis Kleinfeld, Sunday, 26 Mar 2017 04:30 PM More Posts by Denis Kleinfeld President Donald Trump described Obamacare as in a “death spiral.” That is true, and since 2010, the Republicans have voted 60 times to repeal Obamacare. President Trump campaigned saying he would see that Obamacare would be repealed and replaced. President Trump’s and the election of a Republican majority in both the House and the Senate gave the Republican’s all the legislative power to carry out what they had promised, time after time, to do. The Republican congressional majority had been stymied by President Obama’s veto power, executive orders, and their natural inclination to be feckless. But Obama is gone, Mrs. Clinton defeated, and they have in President Trump a man who was eager to fulfill campaign promises. The GOP is now in the position of having their supporters fully behind them with total control of the legislative process. The GOP told the voters that the people, not government, should be in control of their own healthcare decisions. Despite having seven years to prepare, the House Republican political establishment lead by Speaker Paul Ryan introduced a bill entitled The American Health Care Act— tagged as Ryancare. What Ryancare did not do was repeal and replace Obamacare. www.newsmax.com/Finance/DenisKleinfeld/Freedom-Caucus-Save-Trump/2017/03/26/id/780842/

HHS chief pledges to uphold Obamacare, including mandateDodges questions about crucial payments, weakening it from withinBy Tom Howell Jr. - The Washington Times - Wednesday, March 29, 2017 The Trump administration will continue enforcing Obamacare and won’t nix the law’s individual mandate requiring Americans to get coverage, the health secretary told Congress on Wednesday. Health and Human Services Secretary Thomas Price said that as long as Obamacare is the law of the land, he’ll enforce it as written — though he declined to say whether President Trump will personally sell the program the way former President Barack Obama did. Mr. Price also would commit to coming up with more cash to keep the law afloat. “So long as the law is on the books, we at the department are obliged to uphold the law,” he told House lawmakers at a hearing called to scrutinize Mr. Trump’s proposed budget cuts. www.washingtontimes.com/news/2017/mar/29/tom-price-pledges-uphold-obamacare-including-manda/
