Ex-Nobel Official: Barack Obama’s Peace Prize Didn’t Have Desired Effectby John Sexton, 17 Sep 2015 The ex-secretary of the Nobel Committee says in a soon-to-be-released book that awarding the Peace Prize to Barack Obama in 2009 did not have the desired effect. Geir Lundestad served as secretary to the committee for 25 years until he retired near the end of last year. In a new book, which is set to be released Thursday, Lundestad says awarding Obama the Peace Prize was intended to strengthen his hand but that it did not have the desired effect. He writes, “Even many of Obama’s supporters believed that the prize was a mistake. In that sense the committee didn’t achieve what it had hoped for.” www.breitbart.com/national-security/2015/09/17/ex-nobel-official-barack-obamas-peace-prize-didnt-desired-effect/

Nobel Chief Finally Admits He Regrets Giving Obama the Peace PrizeWarner Todd Huston, January 3, 2019 Anyone with half an ounce of brains immediately knew in 2009 that the Nobel Peace Prize committee was making itself look foolish for giving Barack Obama its top award even though he had only been president for about five minutes. Now the group’s former secretary is admitting that the whole thing was a huge mistake. Nobel’s former secretary, Geir Lundestad, told the media that he thought giving Obama the award would spur him to great accomplishments. Instead, Obama did nothing of note over the next eight years. godfatherpolitics.com/nobel-chief-finally-admits-he-regrets-giving-obama-the-peace-prize/
