Read the rest of the article here: thehill.com/blogs/floor-action/senate/290001-senate-votes-to-stop-us-from-joining-un-arms-treaty"In the last batch of amendment votes to the budget, the Senate voted on several foreign policy proposals. Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.) introduced an amendment that would prevent the United States from entering into the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty in order to uphold the Second Amendment. His amendment passed on a 53-46 vote. Republicans have been critical of President Obama’s decision to consider the treaty, although Obama has said he would not vote for anything that would violate the Second Amendment." YES!

Anyone want to try telling me that all those phone calls/emails/"Contact" forms/FAX'es DON'T "do any good"?
Think the vote that went down would have gone that way withOUT them?
Keep hammering them on the 2nd, people - it WORKS! Pete ;D

I've seen and responded to "Alerts" about the SAT from NRA/GOA and probably a couple of other places and, indeed, those organizations deserve kudos for making it so easy and effective for people to respond.
But the ones who actually DESERVE the credit for this are all the faceless, nameless, seriously under-rated people who simply DO THE WORK of RESPONDING to the "Alerts" - because THEY are the ones who deserve the credit for this RESULT.
They brought the "battle" over this "treaty" crap to the politician's - and WON. My hat is off and my heart-felt THANKS go out to every single person in this country who picked up the phone and called or clicked "Send" or "Submit". You have my respect. Thank you. Pete

Excellent skirmish, This one turned out good for us, more of a stalemate actually, as this will not be the end of this U.N. world disarmament push (except for them of course), as you all remember this "Act" was all but dead and buried last year, but was reanimated for the Obamanations second coming. So, the battle is far from over.
Kudo's to all who participated, now watch their other hand...
