Citizens in 15 states file petitions to secede from United StatesBy: Joe Newby, November 11, 2012 As a result of Tuesday's election, Americans in 15 states have filed petitions to secede from the United States, Regina Conley reported at Red Alert Politics on Saturday. So far, she says, residents in Louisiana, Texas, Kentucky, Colorado, New Jersey and ten other states, have filed petitions at the White House petition site requesting secession. A petition for New York to secede was file by "C R" of Grand Forks, North Dakota on Saturday. New Jersey & New York? Now I question the legitimacy of the article when I saw these two entitlement states.
On the other hand, there is New York then there is New York City.

When I lived in the northern Adirondacks the people wanted to secede from N Y City then. In fact they wanted to just give it to New Jersey. If at first you don't secede, try, try again...

States and people do not "Petition" for secession. They notify as the sovereign entities they are. Petition means to ask permission. Based upon the Declaration of Independence and the Articles of Confederation that notice by their elected representatives, or in the absence of those, a majority of counties presented to the other states is sufficient. However. If every person on this board was to prepare an affidavit of removal directing the State to remove their names from the rolls of the United States Citizenship it would have the same effect of lawful notice. However that would severely impact the Retirement and Social Security plans you have.

These read like they are asking for a "peaceful" dissolution rather than the kinetic diplomacy Lincoln used... Not asking permission, just a "please don't try to shoot us in the face for this" kind of thing.

These are PETITIONS. There's three hundred of them on Facebook every friggin' day. They're as useful as nun breasts.
The Obomanation will use these petitions as backup toilet paper when they run out of copies of the Constitution.

Besides, anyone hear of Texas v. White?What everyone... including you, loses track of constantly... is of course the Supreme Court rued that way, and of course they will do so again... THEY ARE PART OF THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT. Think they are gonna cut their own throats over a faded document? Judicial just as with the Legislative and the Executive, are corrupted to the core, one has to only take a quick glance at their past and recent "rulings" to understand that. The Constitution is not a death pact, a State joined it and a State can leave it, some of the founders even made note of this "possibility". Harassing document like this definitely help the movement, the Petitions although legally worthless are still effective, take these secession petitions, they are gaining world wide attention now... and you can bet the Euro-Weenies are crying their eyes out, because it shows Americans are not going to be subjugated, the Resistance is in motion. Many just like us are finally seeing what we have been warning them about, our job now is to point them in the right directions.

What about the terms of service for all these petitions being created on whitehouse.gov? According to the site's TOS, your computer becomes their property by virtue of your connecting to them.

This is just a warning shot across the bow to the powers in Washington.
It is showing them we do not agree with what is going on, and will move to defend our rights. It is a gathering of like minded men and women, who hold freedom dear.
They powers in Washington have choices.
1.They can back off and live in peace. 2.They can ignore this, and how it passes. 3.They can ignore this and move ahead.
Obama's slogan was forward, so I doubt they will do anything, but move ahead.
That puts the ball back in we the peoples court, but now we have come together with these petitions. We will be more likely to stand when together than alone.

Toothless temper tantrum she says! Regardless, it is Americans saying enough! The Gov is already taking claim to power over the citizens through their actions alone.
The power of the Constitution & even more important the power/authority of the Declaration of Independence is in the hands of the people.
Let the petition's grow, it's a statement.

There is a second petition to deport anyone who has signed a secession petition. All I can say is come and get me. NC needs 1500 more to pass 25000 and join GA, TX, Fl and LA.

Seems like someone at the white house is screwing around, yesterday when I looked, the GA Petition was a thousand away from crossing the pass line, now it appears the number has been reset and requires 20K+ signatures.

When I looked last evening before posting GA had passed the number required. Also some states have multiple petitions posted so be sure to check the entire list. I cannot believe the white house would screw around with these petitions. They have so many bigger things to fug up...

7 states have the required signatures for a White House response. government.brevardtimes.com/2012/11/7-states-petitions-to-secede-meet.htmlTexas, Georgia, Tennesse, Kentucky, Lousiana, Flordia, and the 7th State is not named. I think it is Indiana, as they were close to the number needed. This is growing, and will continue to grow. We the people are not happy, and it is becoming plain it was a fixed election.

Today on fox the number is 47 states had petitions filled to succeed.....At this rate we won't have to fire a shot.What could BHO/FED/UN do about it?...Invade every single state?...Good luck with that one!

Last evening Vermont was the last of the 50 states to have petitions filed. It was strange that Vermont was last as the subject of secession is actually brought up for discussion in their state legislature from time to time

You aren't standing there alone. People who fear signing these petitions because it might put them higher on a government list are forgetting some valuable history lessons. They are trying to assuage that little voice in the back of their head that is telling them it's safer to be a mouse than a man. When the lion comes, it'll eat the man first before it ever gets hungry for mouse-meat... What they fail to realize is that men can kill lions. A mouse has no chance to kill a lion...
