Decorated US Navy SEAL to Face Court-Martial For ‘Premeditated Murder’ of ISIS Terrorist – Faces Life in PrisonCristina Laila by Cristina Laila January 3, 2019 Gallagher has served 19 years in the US Navy, 8 tours, 6 of which as an elite special forces operator — he was ranked as the top SEAL chief and his platoon ranked as the top SEAL platoon. In other words, Gallagher is one of our fiercest warriors and he is being demonized for killing the enemy. The Navy SEALs Fund Brotherhood Beyond Battlefield launched a fundraising campaign for Gallagher, calling the charges a “travesty of justice.” www.thegatewaypundit.com/2019/01/decorated-us-navy-seal-to-face-court-martial-for-murder-of-isis-terrorist-faces-life-in-prison/

Navy doubles down on stupidity and charges another SEAL... with MURDER... of terrorists... in an active combat zone. I expected this mistreatment of our soldiers under the obama admin. But we're not under the obama admin now, are we? Supervisor of Navy SEAL Charged in War Crime CaseTuesday, 22 January 2019 10:38 PM His lawyers have said the allegations were made by disgruntled SEALs out to get Gallagher because he was a demanding platoon leader. Portier's lawyer said the Naval SEALs have had "extraordinary success" in Iraq. He is concerned the Navy's prosecution of the case in a public court martial could undermine that, hurt morale and reveal information about the secretive force. He wants the State Department to intervene on behalf of national security. He believes it's important to determine whether parts of the case, such as operations' details, tactics, etc., should be only discussed in closed sessions. "I believe the investigation should be classified," Sullivan said after the arraignment. "The operations that we do over there is protecting our national security, and parading these warfighters on the stage, I think it puts them at risk and our mission over there at risk." www.newsmax.com/newsfront/murder-charge-navy-seal-isis-seal/2019/01/22/id/899372/

February 19, 2019, KUSI Newsroom SAN DIEGO (KUSI) — Special Operations Chief Edward Gallagher has pleaded not guilty to charges stemming from a 2017 deployment to Iraq. Exclusive — Memorial Day: Navy SEAL Eddie Gallagher’s Wife, Brother Fight the Swamp: ‘Domestic Terror Unleashed on Our Family’MATTHEW BOYLE, 27 May 2019 The family of Eddie Gallagher, the decorated Navy SEAL veteran of eight combat tours currently facing war crimes charges over allegations that members of Congress say video proves untrue, is speaking out this Memorial Day weekend about the “terror” Navy prosecutors have put them through. “We’ve gone through eight deployments as a family, raising three children and really sacrificing my husband to the war on terror was our goal of achieving victory over what happened on 9/11,” Andrea Gallagher said in a Breitbart News radio exclusive hourlong special on her husband’s story that aired on Saturday and Sunday this weekend. “Over the years, we let him go time and time again. Never in a million years would I have foreseen that on his very last combat trip, which was to Mosul where he was previously awarded number one chief and number one platoon, he was tasked with clearing Mosul of ISIS, which he succeeded in, and then over a year later he would come back to a disgruntled group of individuals who, once they found out he was yet again being elevated for his twilight tour to a very coveted billet where he would be training every Navy SEAL on the West Coast, and once they found out they were going to be under him again, they set up a plot to take him down. Now, it never would have occurred to them, I don’t think, that it could have gone this far,” she said. Now, Andrea Gallagher says her family has been put through a “horrific nightmare” that she called “domestic terror” at the hands of NCIS Naval prosecutors who brought war crimes charges against her husband and for which he has been awaiting trial. “But our family has been entrapped in what I can only call a horrific nightmare, and it definitely has been encompassed by some domestic terror unleashed on our family by NCIS who picked up the case in April of 2018,” she said. “They raided our home, pulled out our kids at gunpoint into the streets in their underwear by June. So, less than 60 days on basically just rumors, lies, and hearsay is how they cobbled together this case. Ever since, we have suffered. My husband was taken out of a TBI clinic on 9/11. He was thrown in jail and he actually was in jail for seven and a half months before President Trump intervened in March.” Gallagher is charged with killing an ISIS fighter while deployed in Iraq during President Donald Trump’s administration—even though there is video, according to Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-CA) and the Gallager family, that proves Gallagher was actually trying to save the life of the fighter after all of his ISIS comrades in a facility were killed by a U.S.-launched hellfire missile. www.breitbart.com/politics/2019/05/27/exclusive-memorial-day-navy-seal-eddie-gallaghers-wife-brother-fight-the-swamp-domestic-terror-unleashed-on-our-family/

Military Judge Frees Navy SEAL in Advance of Murder TrialNewsmax, Thursday, 30 May 2019 09:57 PM A decorated Navy SEAL facing a murder trial in the death of an Islamic State prisoner was freed Thursday from custody after a military judge cited interference by prosecutors. The unexpected move drew gasps from those at a hearing in a San Diego courtroom in which lawyers for Special Operations Chief Edward Gallagher sought to get the case dismissed for prosecutorial misconduct. Gallagher's wife, Andrea, who has led a campaign to free her husband, put her head in her hands and burst into tears. The judge, Capt. Aaron Rugh, has not ruled yet on whether to throw out the case or remove prosecutors over tracking emails sent to defense lawyers and a journalist in an effort to find the source of news leaks in the politically charged case. He said freeing Gallagher at this point would be a remedy for interference by prosecutors. Attorney Tim Parlatore accused prosecutors of a "rogue, relentless, and unlawful cyber campaign" that may have violated attorney-client privilege and hurt Gallagher's ability to get a fair trial. www.newsmax.com/newsfront/navy-seal-murder-edward-gallagher-case/2019/05/30/id/918312/

Navy SEAL Eddie Gallagher’s Wife and Brother Share How the Accusations Went from Cookie Butter Theft to MurderKRISTINA WONG, 16 Jun 2019 It started out with a small group of Navy SEALs back in Mosul, Iraq, in the summer of 2017. First they complained he stole someone’s Red Bull energy drinks, that he ate half of someone’s cookie butter from a care package, and that he didn’t pay someone back for a haircut. Two complainants did have more serious concerns — they thought he was too aggressive in his tactics, which they felt put their lives at unnecessary risk. But those allegations were nothing like those he faced months after the Navy SEAL platoon returned home. The allegations turned from stealing cookie butter into cold-blooded murder — that he stabbed a wounded teenage ISIS captive to death and mowed down a young girl and old man from a sniper’s roost. Soon, what started as petty rumors morphed into murder charges against a decorated Navy SEAL in a case that has captured the nation’s — and the president’s — attention. www.breitbart.com/politics/2019/06/16/navy-seal-eddie-gallagher-wife-brother-cookie-butter/#

One of those WTF? moments... SEAL Trial Witness: I Killed ISIS Prisoner, Not GallagherNewsMax, Thursday, 20 June 2019 02:39 PM A Navy SEAL called by prosecutors to testify at the murder trial of a decorated comrade dropped a bombshell Thursday when he acknowledged killing a wounded militant in what he described as an act of mercy. Special Operator 1st Class Corey Scott, who got an immunity deal for his testimony, said he asphyxiated the teenage Islamic State fighter after Special Operations Chief Edward Gallagher unexpectedly stabbed him. Before the stabbing, Gallagher and Scott had stabilized the prisoner and he was breathing normally through a tube inserted to clear his airway as they treated him for wounds suffered in an airstrike in Iraq. Scott said he was startled when Gallagher stabbed the boy once below the collarbone. Gallagher then grabbed his medical bag and walked away. www.newsmax.com/newsfront/gallagher-seal-prisoner-murder/2019/06/20/id/921293/
