House GOP Establishment, Democrats Rush to Unveil DACA Amnesty for Illegal Aliens
DACA protest

Republican establishment-types in the House, as well as congressional Democrats, say they are close to finalizing a bipartisan amnesty plan for as many as 3.5 million illegal aliens.
In a comment to the Hill, Rep. Carlos Curbelo (R-FL) said a group of House Republicans and Democrats were swiftly crafting an amnesty to push for passage either this week or at the beginning of the new year. “We’ve had very good meetings here with the Problem Solvers Caucus — [Rep.] Will Hurd [R-Texas] has been working on a potential compromise with some Democrats as well, so we could see something as early as tonight,” Curbelo said.
The Republican establishment and Democrats, against the demands of President Trump’s pro-American immigration agenda, have sought to give amnesty to DACA illegal aliens since Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced that the program would be officially ended in March 2018.
However, House Speaker Ryan has said repeatedly he does not expect an amnesty debate until January.
Curbelo threatened to vote to shut down the federal government if DACA illegal aliens were not given amnesty by the end of the year, despite the negative impact such a plan would have on America’s blue-collar workers and middle class.
In a discussion with the open borders lobby weeks ago, Curbelo said:

Deal on DACA program expected in January
By Lukas Mikelionis, 20 Dec 2017
White House officials and top senators are preparing an immigration bill for January aimed at resolving the legal status of so-called "Dreamers."
The plan comes after President Donald Trump rescinded the Obama-era DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) program in September. DACA offered a deportation reprieve to illegal immigrants who came to the U.S. as children.
"Dreamers" refers to participants in the DACA program. The name derives from the DREAM (Development, Relief and Education for Alien Minors) Act, a federal proposal that offered protections similar to DACA but was not approved by Congress.
On Tuesday, White House chief of staff John Kelly met with nearly a dozen senators to discuss how much more of the U.S.-Mexico border Trump wants fenced in exchange for a deal on DACA, Politico reported.
Kelly reportedly said the administration will also present a list of border security and other policy measures as part of a broader immigration deal.
“We couldn’t finish this product, this bill, until we knew where the administration was,” U.S. Sen. Jeff Flake, R-Ariz., told the Politico after Tuesday's meeting. “And that’s why this meeting was so important.”
Both the administration and congressional Republicans insist that any deal on DACA would have to be paired with immigration measures. Democrats are broadly willing to compromise as long as the suggestions are not too hardline.

Top senators and White House officials are putting together a deal to resolve the fate of illegal immigrants brought to the country as children and protected by an Obama-era program that'll end in March, Politico reported.
At a Tuesday meeting, White House Chief of Staff John Kelly pledged the Trump administration would have a list of border security and other policy changes it wants to be part of a deal on so-called Dreamers, Politico reported, adding the plan could come in a matter of days.
"We couldn't finish this product, this bill, until we knew where the administration was," Sen. Jeff Flake, R-Ariz., who's been negotiating a compromise on the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program for weeks, told Politico. "And that's why this meeting was so important."
According to Politico, Kelly and other administration officials related how much of the southern border is currently fenced and how much more the White House would want in exchange for a DACA deal.
