Marco Rubio: Corrupted by Washington in Only Two YearsBy Fred Dardick, Sunday, April 28, 2013 It's hard to believe that Marco Rubio has only been in the Senate since January 2011. With the way he has been going on lately, telling conservatives what a bunch of unenlightened rubes we are for objecting to his immigration reform, you would think he'd been a Senator for 20 years. The once Tea Party favorite, whose chances of being elected President are now on par with Mark Sanford, has been at the forefront of jamming the Democrat's dream of opening the immigration floodgates through Congress, an effort that shares many the hallmarks of the passage of Obamacare: canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/54795
Representing everything the Tea Party movement has dedicated itself against Rubio is blazing a trail of lies and deceit that must make Obama proud.

Marco Rubio's Immigration Decision Point Has ArrivedMay. 24, 2013 2:55pm The U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee has approved the controversial 'Gang of Eight' immigration reform bill by a vote of 13-5. Arguably the most instrumental supporter and spokesman of the bill has been Florida Senator Marco Rubio, and it's fair to say that he's paid a steep political price among many of his ardent supporters, some even stating that they will no longer support him at all for backing an immigration bill they feel is simply "amnesty" for illegal immigrants. Rubio contends that his bill is not "amnesty" and that he never has or would support a blanket amnesty for illegal immigrants. Rubio has gone as far as to call the current immigration system "de facto amnesty." But there are many conservative critics who disagree with Rubio and believe that the bill itself is tantamount to "de facto amnesty" regardless of how tough the border security and enforcement measures text reads in the bill. While the other co-authors of the bipartisan immigration reform bill do not have nearly as much to lose as Rubio, should this bill ultimately fail in any number of regards, Rubio has everything to lose. www.theblaze.com/contributions/marco-rubios-immigration-decision-point-has-arrived/

Meaning he didn't have solid principles to begin with... which I think I posted back when the forum first started. People (media and GOP Elite) promoted him as one of the GOP "Chosen Ones" a rock hard conservative... even though he was expressing the exact same views on illegals he is attempting to press on us right now. Amnesty Train... Bush/McCain/Kennedy and now Obama/Rubio/Schumer.

Guess he wet his finger and put it in the air. No as a "conservative" he went well beyond that, he stripped down naked, let the dems "butter" him up, then stepped out into a hurricane. Absolutely no worse time for him to lapse morally, now he is seeing the error of his ways and trying to disengage, but with the stakes this high, he has shown he can't be trusted. Even when he was met with overwhelming opposition to "His" plan, he tightened the albatross around his neck, doubled down and threw up national T.V. and radio ads pushing this agenda. He is unfortunately walking in the footsteps of McCain, Chambliss, McConnell and many others. What a Pity.

I feel we are missing the point of this! The man agreed to leave a very productive career and spend his money, and others money to be seen by all as a good person to speak for the people in the congress? Why? Patriotism or greed? Then he traveled to Gamorah on the potomic where he was indoctrinated to how to get things done. This is where he probably learned of the duplicity of what he had done and began to figure out how to escape with his tattered honor and a return on his investment. From there it was simply a day by day effort to choose the cleanest of the dirty parts to touch. This is what happens to everyone we send up there. It happened to Davy Crocket and it will happen to you if you go in Rubio's place. It is the process that is run by unelected felons to allow elected felons to seemingly morph or be sent home with a sex scandal or Tax fraud charge on their necks. It ain't our congress and hasn't been since 1861 when it adjourned Sien Die.

Mounting Signs of GOP Rebellion Against Immigration Reform Despite Marco Rubio's push for comprehensive reform, most Republicans aren't listening.
By Beth Reinhard, June 7, 2013 6:00 a.m.
These unexpected developments reflect the stirrings of what could snowball into a full-blown revolt against the most ambitious overhaul of immigration law in a quarter century.
www.nationaljournal.com/politics/mounting-signs-of-gop-rebellion-against-immigration-reform-20130607 John McCain And Marco Rubio's "Let's End Conservatism In America Amnesty Bill"
John Hawkins, May 25, 2013
For all practical purposes, what the Gang of 8 amnesty bill does is permanently ensconce 11 million plus illegal immigrants in our country in return for mostly waivable promises of border security that will never be fulfilled and a permanent liberal majority. This is a phenomenal deal for Democrats and people who came to this country illegally; so it's easy to understand why they'd back the deal.
Why there are so many conservatives in Congress who are willing to put conservatism's neck in a noose and jump off a stool is harder to say.

Rubio vows to press hard for immigration reformBy William E. Gibson, Washington Bureau, 7:04 pm, June 6, 2013 WASHINGTON -- Is Marco Rubio walking away from his own immigration bill? No way, the Florida Republican senator told reporters on Thursday, promising to throw himself into passage of a compromise overhaul bill that he crafted with seven colleagues while also demanding "improvements" that spell out a border-security plan. touch.orlandosentinel.com/#section/-1/article/p2p-76200017/

Marco Rubio: In immigration reform, legalization comes first - 'It is not conditional'June 10, 2013 12:36 pm Modified: June 10, 2013 at 2:00 pm In a Spanish-language interview Sunday with the network Univision, Sen. Marco Rubio, the leading Republican on the Gang of Eight comprehensive immigration reform group, made his strongest statement yet that legalization of the nation's estimated 11 million illegal immigrants must happen before any new border security or internal enforcement measures are in place, and will in no way be conditional on any security requirements. washingtonexaminer.com/rubio-in-immigration-reform-legalization-comes-first.-it-is-not-conditional./article/2531504

Disaster
June 15, 2013, Peter Kirsanow
Indeed, it is no secret that the employment picture for low-skilled workers is abysmal. The national unemployment rate has been above 7.5 percent for more than four years and millions have dropped out of the workforce entirely. Among those without a high school diploma, the unemployment rate in May reached 11.1 percent, and for blacks without a high school diploma, it is more than 24 percent. The labor-force participation rate is at historic lows and long-term unemployment is the worst since the Great Depression. The workweek is shrinking, as well as wage rates. Barely one in two adult black males has a full-time job. A record 47 million people are on food stamps.
The immigration reform bill has the potential to make things even worse. Not only will the bill grant amnesty to 11 million illegal immigrants, it will act as a magnet for future illegal immigration and substantially increase the number of legal immigrants. It is conservatively estimated that the bill will result in 30 million to 33 million additional immigrants over the next 10 years.

1:38 AM 06/17/2013, Neil Munro, White House Correspondent
The White House is playing a larger role in developing the Gang of Eight's immigration bill than its supporters publicly admit, according to a forthcoming article in The New Yorker.
"'No decisions are being made without talking to us about it,' the official said of the Gang of Eight negotiations ... 'This does not fly if we're not O.K. with it,'" a senior Obama official told author Ryan Lizza for the pending article.
White House officials also believe the emerging bill will be a huge success for President Barack Obama.

I suggest that all of you download a pdf copy of the Senate version of the bill. This Immigration bill has almost as much to do with Immigration as the Obama care Bill had to do with medicine. What I have found is a lot of reduced rights and increased fines, taxes, mandates, and one big F#$% ing fence. I see no procedures to become a citizen I see a blessing on date of signing and then 12 million illegals become TAXPAYERS. I suspect that is why the mexicans are running for the border. Some owe three or four years of back taxes. Go download it and do some reading. Mexicans ain't all who will get screwed.

An offshoot from Thursday. House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) said Thursday he doesn’t “intend†to push an immigration bill that violates Republican “principles.†Boehner spoke to reporters during his regular press briefing after TheBlaze exclusively reported that 70 Republican House members are planning a political showdown over immigration reform and a bill they say will mean amnesty for illegal immigrants and election security for progressives and Democrats. “My goal is always to bring bills to the floor that have a strong Republican majority,†Boehner said. “Immigration reform — it’s a very difficult issue, but I don’t intend to bring an immigration reform bill to the floor that violates what I and what members of my party — what our principles are.†freenorthcarolina.blogspot.com/2013/06/see-how-boehner-responded-after-being.html
